They wouldn't if they took anywhere close to the number of shots Kobe does. Plus Kobe shoots and hits a lot of three's or long 2's over 2 defenders(often). I hear people say Lebron is better, because his percentage is higher. Well duh, he's a forward for one(and 2 inches taller) and most of his points come in the paint near the basket. If Kobe wanted to, he could slash like Tony Parker and just lay it up, that would be too easy and his percentage would go up. The guy is amazing dude....

WTF? Just because Kobe is a private guy and isn't a good ole boy like Shaq, everyone hates him. Kobe tried to make up with Shaq a long time ago and Shaq wouldn't have it. Then Pat Riley "made" Shaq make up on national TV, so Shaq looks like he's a better guy, but you don't hear Kobe trashing Shaq in the media like you hear Shaq trashing Kobe all the time + tripping him on Christmas day, etc. A lot of people that played with or coached MJ, say Kobe has a lot of the same qualities. He isn't finished with his career yet, so you can't compare him to MJ yet and make a conclusion on who is better.

hogging is good when you score 63 or 81 points in a game and you come back from a 18 point deficit to win by 17 and you single handedly do it all yourself. If Kobe had better teammates that could freaking shoot and not make bonehead plays at the end of the game to lose(Odom) or can't catch or dunk or layup the ball cuz hands or two small(Kwame Brown) or consistently hit shots(Smush Parker) or just be plain terrible(Luke Walton) then Kobe should pass it more and/or shoot less, but his teammates suck and they would lose.

He is simple amazing.. It's less than a month after getting that

Kobe avoided a rape conviction by paying off his accuser. The court did not vindicate him.

He also is not a team player, which is why his team is in 3rd place. Jordan was a great individual player, but he knew how to build up his teammates and pass the ball too.

I guess Kobe's defenders missed the deliberate forearm assault Kobe slammed into Mike Miller in a game a few weeks ago which earned that great sportsman Kobe Bryant a suspension without pay.

People like Terrell Owens and Kobe Bryant are bad for sports. Yes, they have loads of talent, but their attitude and lack of class and sportsmanship are an insult to the games that have made them rich celebrities.

Jordan had teammates who could play well, Kobe does not. Jordan would not have passed the ball to the other clowns on this Lakers team. They are in 3rd place only because they have Kobe. They would be nowhere without him and they would be higher if he hadn't missed two games and if Odom didn't fuck up sure wins at least 3 times. In the Memphis game Kobe got beat up good without any calls and that has happened a lot this year and indeed a Toronto player hit Kobe in the eye on purpose tonight and there was no call. I would be freaking pissed too and hit back if that happened to me. 9 out of 10 people would. They are a top 10 team according to all major power rankings.

Do you actually watch any of the Lakers games or just base your opinion on what you hear from Charles Barkley or on Sportscenter? Kobe had a big gash on his head from a hit in the Memphis game. I would hit back too. He gets whacked hard and poked in the eye(that's the only thing that will slow him down) every game and rarely gets a call. 81 points demands respect no matter what you think of the guy's character.

What kind of denial do you live in? I respect Kobe because he's amazing but let's not lie to ourselves. Kobe is about Kobe, or at least he was, I've seen otherwise a few times this season. Kobe does NOT pass to the open man. You can make your case in what, 10% of the time? MJ passed to his teammates even when they sucked. You need to understand that MJ only went forward and up, while Kobe is going downhill. He won't win another ring in his career..

Lots of Kobe bashing. Whether you like him or not it's not easy scoring 81 points. Never mind scoring 81 even taking all those shots is not easy to do.

81 points is a whole lot of points people, he shot a very high percentage as well.

He was known to freeze guys out just because they offended him. He called for the ball all the time. If you think he always passed to the open man, you are crazy. He drew double and triple teams, every time he had the ball, someone was open.

MJ is one of the great players, but there are lots of people to consider. Kobe is only what, 27? Saying he will never win another title is very premature.

Funny enough, Jordan has called Kobe before many playoff games in his career. Jordan has also been known to say that Kobe is one of the greats.

Kobe is a superstar NBA player. Some nights, you get the one man show. Iverson does it. Shaq and Robinson have done it. Any player that scores more than 20 points in a game could have passed to someone.

Good point but in terms of career accomplishments, desire, killer instinct, and pure talent, I'd have to say Michael Jordan and Kobe are #1 and #2 in the history of the game. Lebron James has potential but he doesn't have that killer instinct that those two have shown. I saw Kobe won't win another title because Kobe is not a team player. When MJ got Scottie, he was more than willing to share the spotlight and the ball with him, and the supporting cast, which is why the Bulls in my mind were the greatest team in history. Kobe on the other hand is a glory hog, and that was evident when he had the most dominant center in the nba. If you think about it the lakers had a chance to win as many titles as they wanted with that combination, but Kobe's ego, which was his downfall, ended that 'dynasty'. I have to say though Kobe's matured a lot this season and I was very happy to hear that he is going to play for the USA. With him on the court, there isn't anyone in the world that can stop him.
