http://www.istealyourstuff.com what is this site? It shows up in almost all my ref logs and when I try to goto the site I get access denied?

Anybody knows what this is?

I get this too and I'm equally mystified.... Anyone have any ideas? It shows up in my server stats but there's nothing at www.istealyourstuff.com

I'm just taking a guess here, but maybe that site steals your stuff?

it's called a spoofed domain or wingate or any other hack names ya can think of hehe

Probably a fake site name used by one of these crawler programs that grabs all your images and compiles them on those BBS porn crawler things..., not sure on what exactly they do, but those free porn things that crawl and steal images of certain size and deminision from sites all across the net....

Maybe, I doubt it though hehehe sounds funny though, but it would only take a couple passes to nab all your images and directories...

When you write the program that accesses someone's site (e.g., an offline browser, hitbot, robot / spider), you can claim to have come from wherever you wish. Anything that shows up in your server log can be spoofed.

htaccess-based hotlink protection is based on the presumption that the guy's browser won't lie to your server. It's an honor system. But do you suppose some guys might lie, just a little bit, to get all your pics of nekkid chicks for free?

A lot of the site thieves are kind enough to identify themselves. That's the "User Agent" datum. There *is* honor among thieves. To be sure, not all thieves are honorable - which is why the good stuff is password protected, with somebody keeping an eye on the access log.
