what instant messanger do you use? ICQ, MSN, Yahoo,... ?

business: ICQ
family/friends: MSN

only icq at the moment

ICQ is the industry standard. I use AIM for those that are not in the biz or have it attached to their cell phones. Yahoo when out of town.

hmm...interesting, i just though that each person prefer to use one kind of IM. but from the answer i realized that it's not actually so.
About IM (e.g. ICQ) for business - yep, it's a great point. some people even buy good-looking numbers for that purposes

ICQ ownz anytime anywhere and it has common features with AIM too.Personally I know people that buys UINS and Screennames and I know people that buys mail for MSN messenger.I don't appreciate the fact that they buy or "get" insane for them but I would like to see some sites about it and take a sneak peek at prices :) .

sure, why not. the one i know and actually used is www.bestuin.com but there are also some other ofcoarse. The main problem is that most of them are not in English so it's hard to understand anything. www.bestuin.com has multi-language support so that rulez :thumbsup

My messenger is based off of RFC 1149, but lately I've been having troubles getting replies to messages sent to Asia...

RFC 1149 ? sorry what's that?

Just ICQ ..I heard MSN was a trojan waiting to happen,so I disabled it

I see that ICQ is the most popular and used mostly for business. In USA people mostly use AIM/ deadaim afaik
