It's not bad, it's kinda like Firefox. We got ours when MS sent us the Vista beta though, so it might be more stable than the initial version was :2 cents:

Yeah, we installed them both on a test machine; I wouldn't advise installing either on your main/only PC :2 cents:

Theres an ol' saying, "if it aint broke dont fix it".. same can be said about computer software and how your system is running now.

yupp thats why i havent installed it i have heared alot of shit from freinds that did install it that alot of strange things happened to there computers and so on

SilverTab 01-22-2006 12:11 PM

Just installed it and its painfully slow....

SmokeyTheBear 01-22-2006 12:11 PM

basically i installed it as a standalone i.e. alongside my existing i.e.6

I would just use it to test and such and it worked fine UNTIL i did a windows update..

Then it tried to make i.e.7 my default browser , making all the shell hooked up wth ie7 , making i.e.6 unuseable.. That would be okay if it worked , but now when i open ie6 or ie7 it opens up both copies at once and stalls out. When imanually cancel the i.e6 window ie7 works fine BUT the permissions are all fucked up.. ( favourites doesnt work ) neither does saving any picture ( it says permission denied on every page even my own ) neither does logging into anything , the login box is completely missing.

SmokeyTheBear 01-22-2006 12:12 PM

but other than the glitches, its a nice piece of work.. they have tabbed browsing like firefox now..

SmokeyTheBear 01-22-2006 12:13 PM

oh and it seems to pull the "favicon" from every webpage it visits ( not just favourites ) so get your icons installed people..

Theo 01-22-2006 12:15 PM

many things are missing on IE7

i dont recall them, but when i was using it i was often like wtf they can't have removed /this/......

ah,for example stop button is not always available, back/fw buttons are not fully functional related with pages you have surfed, saving password is not always working properly, the only possitive is the tabs, nothing else

Theo 01-22-2006 12:16 PM

also many secure pages do not work with IE7 beta
