Google's live 3D generated world traffic visualization at Headquarters (ABC Video)

ABC News did a walkaround at Google Headquarters.

Neat stuff after the first software engineers interview.

Wow, free food and their campus gives free haircuts, perks.

Its impossible for a company to deal with your employees this way.

You turn them into spoiled brats: all good whebn the stocks are up and competition is far away but
when shit start hitting the fan an action is required this google fun policy
will backfire like any ohter 2000 dotcom bubble did.

Pixar is like this as well. And for the most part they all have been like this from the beginning. Doesn't seem like a problem to me.

Just because they have created a great work environment doesn't mean they are allowing employees to slack off on their work.

Just as the first guy said, they know what has to be done.

And I wouldn't compare this sort of thing to the pre-2000 .com companies. Those places were a joke. They had no real product, and the people working at them had no talent. They just bilked venture capitalists out of their money and fucked around with it.
