put a limit on the fucking flash banners
 

I have a 3mb connection and 4 or 5 of those flash banners are SERIOUSLY slowing down this place. Why would we signup to a sponsor who doesn't put thought into their website loading times? The average surfer leaves if the page doesn't load in 7 seconds.

We get the point.. no need for 1mb flash banners. It doesn't make you cool. It pisses people off.

because I'm technically ignorant.. I'd love too, if it doesn't mess other stuff up.

Yes, just disable flash... you can do that in FF, Avant etc

Im bored so i will i will tell you how to disable just the flash banners above gfy. (+ all ads on gfy)

The ads are hosted on this subdomain ----> bbs.gofuckyourself.com

Want to block that and nothing elce? If you are on WinXP follow instruction.

Go to > C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC

It will look something like this. Right click on "hosts" and open it with notepad.

Right below this line "127.0.0.1 localhost" add this "127.0.0.1 bbs.gofuckyourself.com" and save.

Thats it. :thumbsup

edit: You can block any site you want with this.

Remember you can block any site, like doubleclick.com, fastclick.com ext.

just open notepad and paste in

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 bbs.gofuckyourself.com

save it to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

save as "hosts" not "hosts.txt"
