Anybody good with measurements and fractions?
 

I am cutting tile for my bathroom shower floor and I cant figure out these measurements.. lol

the tiles are 11 - 3/4 Inches and I need to cut 9 square tiles from them.

The blade is 1/8" thick

If the tiles were 12" and the blade was paper thin it would be damn easy to figure out.. lol

Just for clarification, do all the 9 resulting tiles have to be the same size?

yes they do.. perfectly square.

Each tile would be 3 and 2/3 inches.

1/3 x 1/4in = 1/12in

11.75 / 3 - .25 = 3.66666667

are you 100% sure? :)

are you taking into consideration of the two cuts from the 1/8" blade?

1/8 x 2 = 1/4 (or .25)

If you want confirmation, I'm 100% sure as well. Just don't fuck up the cut!

Heh, I just realized that too. You have to subtract the .25 first.

So just a little over 13/16ths.
