I have already done this. just looking for more info or to read some interesting stories if anyone has made their own and how they turned out performance wise.

Get a cantenna, I bought a 8DB antenna and it didnt really help.
I use it in my car for wardriving now and again though.

Linksys has one that you program then hookup to a regular 12vt outlet on the wall... works good I have one out in the foyuer.
