converting FLA files to SWF files

Be gentle on me. I'm a complete newbie playing around trying to learn.

I've got a few .fla files that I want to try converting to .swf. I was wondering what program I use. I'm not able to do it with flash 8 video encoder.

you need Flash MX 2004
(well there is a newer version available now)

Open Flash. Load the .FLA. Then use the "Export" option to export them to .SWF :thumbsup
