Who's going to beat who and why?

Here's mine for the west: Sacramento will beat Utah in 4. San Antonio will end up playing Seattle and take 'em in 5. LA will beat Portland in 5. The Mavericks will beat Minnesota in 3.

Sacramento will end up beating the Lakers in the Western Championship 4-3 and eventually end up getting their FIRST NBA CHAMPIONSHIP by defeating the Nets. The WHY is that the Kings in fucking on a roll and it's going to spill into the playoffs big time. They are peaking at the right time and now have the talent and ability to go all the way. The Lakers series won't be easy, but it will come down to their home court advantage. Even though LA will never admit it, they freaking HATE playing at Arco.

I like your picks, the only change might be the Mavs beating the Lakers in the second round...but the KINGS will win the big prize!!

The Lakers all the way...the league still doesnt know how to stop the triangle offense plus Shaq is too much for the league. Kobe is really gonna turn it on in the playoffs and "Will Smith"Rober Horry is gonna hit big shot after shot...any team who comes out of the Least will be swept 4-0

I haved to agree with Wizzo here.

I think if my boys stay healthy and Nowitsky's knee heals we can take it that far.

However with that being said I do not think it is the Maverick's year this year...but I hope I'm wrong :)

Yeah, I think Dallas could beat LA if everyone is healthy and Nash gets on fire late in the series.

I'd like to see Boston make it to the championship game, but they are going to have to reach fucking deeeeeeeeeep.

come on you guys...whoc an really beat the lakers in 7?? noone can honestly ebat the lakers in seven...they own all the rest of the west mentally..San Antonio is scared,dallas is too much offense and no D,and Sac is the only team who can challenge the lakers..kobe and shaq are the best playoff players in the league...it just might be Fo,Fo,FO!!

I respect your point about the Lakers... however here's my take:

1. They won't always be the NBA champions.
2. They are not as good this year as last.
3. The Kings are w/o question much improved from '01.
4. Shaq ain't 100%
5. Webber is healthy and has found his jumper.
6. The Kings can play defense when they have to.

What DOES scare me about LA is fucking Kobe... and a healthy Shaq.

I all honesty. Big Easy is right. Sac is peaking at the right time and they are very healthy. Here is the problem. They are now going into the playoffs. Lately they have not only been beating teams but they have been humiliating them. That is not a good thing to do night after night. It looks bad and when it comes crunch time. The teams that can will Complete demoralize you. My pick... as we all know it will come down to the West. No one in the East has the power to keep up with even the Jazz this year. What will be the determining factor???

The last game of the season. Lakers vs Kings in LA. If the Kings can prove on the last day of the season that they can go into LA and beat the Lakers they will have a serious advantage, not only in their display of skillz but also psychologically. If they are torn apart and ripped to shreads in LA they will remember that come crunch time. And then the one point loss in Sac will creap into their minds and they will fall apart from the inside out.

Either way... It should be fun to watch!!!

Blazers suck ass...just because they got hot in the 2nd half of the season doenst mean shit. Shaq WILL be healthy and if he isnt he will will himself to the finals...the road to the finals still has to come through LA and no team will beat the lakers in 5..let alone 7!!
