It's been a while, but I just got back from shooting.
This was one mad fucking location! http://www.ninjito.com/dump/2006-01-22/qx-sb-1.jpg http://www.ninjito.com/dump/2006-01-22/qx-sb-2.jpg http://www.ninjito.com/dump/2006-01-22/qx-sb-3.jpg http://www.ninjito.com/dump/2006-01-22/qx-sb-4.jpg http://www.ninjito.com/dump/2006-01-22/qx-sb-5.jpg http://www.ninjito.com/dump/2006-01-22/qx-sb-6.jpg http://www.ninjito.com/dump/2006-01-22/qx-sb-7.jpg http://www.ninjito.com/dump/2006-01-22/qx-sb-8.jpg http://www.ninjito.com/dump/2006-01-22/qx-sb-9.jpg http://www.ninjito.com/dump/2006-01-22/qx-sb-10.jpg :D |

Powerstation, in Queensland Australia. Super, super cool.
It had siamese cats living in the cooling stacks :D |
I still am truly amazed every time I see your pictures... one day I hope to be able to get the clarity, detail and amazing quality that you are able to produce every single time.

Nice stuff :thumbsup |
Old coal powerstation.
Comissioned 1973, decomissioned 2002. Demolition started May 2005 through to June 2006. 40m high (~125ft) boilers. 139m high (~325ft [?]) stacks. Awesome place. The cooling towers are totally wooden, and house a family of cats.. There are generators lying askew, their carapaces removed or dismantled. Most of it is still lit by struggling fluros, and wires dangle around every corner. From the roof, you can see the old cooling lake, now half-dry, and another smaller station, and a steaming gas plant across another lake.... |

That is really amazing. Totally unique. I love the mild fisheye effect, seems perfect for that location.
The really phenomenal thing about this work is that if I would have walked in, I probably never would have thought it would have made such great photography. Very nice. |
You are an amazing photographer. Simply stunning detail and clarity in those shots.
|
where are the tits
|
Do you shoot at mainly indstrial locations?
I'd love to see shots of something like the european cathedrals or other forms architechture. |

As for just industrial shots - mainly, as it's what really excites me. That said and done, I've got a bunch of Paris catacombs, a few church / travel / castle photos as well. Basically I just snap what I know I can take a good photo out of :D Thanks for all the comments, glad you like :) |
Like always, awesome stuff. Do you carry along lighting equipment?

Most of the times, and especially in this scenario.. you don't have the time or space to lug and setup gear. Most of the challenge is to make do w/ available light.. and I like that - the lastshot is 8 minutes long, hence the star trails :) |
I really like the last one with the stars and the smoke stacks.
|
Damnit i'm about ready to chip in for a ticket for you to come to NYC and hang out with me and Julia of DarkPassage man!

Damn 8 mins for that one shot? |
Amazing pictures as usual. :thumbsup

I'm planning on heading over hopefully this year. I'm heading up through Hong Kong, Japan, then hopefully bouncing to the states thereafter. With a bit of luck, I'll hit up NY. So much to explore, so little time. Have you seen the abandoned theme parks & 'gunship island' from Japan? |
great work as always buddy :thumbsup
how long do you spend on the average per shot? you get it right first take? |
