Someone is using MY PICS on AAC and they wont do anything about it.

So what do I do? I dont think these people are making any profit off of my pics but I didnt give them a right to use them. I contacted Adult Action Cam the first time and the nice girl said they would be taken down. The profile was not but the pictures were just changed (STILL MY PICTURES). The next day, I contacted the woman again and she told me the same thing... the next day, JUST NEW PICS... OF ME!

I saw this woman at the EXPO and she said they wouldnt take my pictures down because of some sort of "technicality". Something about the fact that it isnt them that have rights to the pictures.

What can I do?? I have since written 3 more emails to AAC and they do nothing. :(

sandman! 01-20-2006 07:24 PM

contact thier host and bitch.

Why don't you make a Fan sign "salute" saying XXXX person is not me on AAC account.

Prove yourself real.

The only times you post on GFY is to cry about something..

Amysworld 01-20-2006 07:29 PM

I think that is partially the point. I also wanted to know if there was any legal issue I had considering they arent making a profit. Just curious.

adultchica 01-20-2006 07:29 PM

Myjah will take care of it.

KMR Stitch 01-20-2006 07:29 PM

I hope when I am about to turn 30. I don't start to break down.

How are they stealing? I would they know who the real owner of the pictures are?

It's called Fakerslayers; do research.

I have.. these are some snapshots from my camz shows and cropped pics of the other pics from my site. I just wanted some advice and yes, maybe some attention to get this taken care of. I dont want my pics out there if they arent on my site. I think it is understandable.

Thanks for those who helped. :)

Woo Hoo! This is a trip.. "chrissy99" is still there but the pics are gone and it now says they are "male". Niiiiiiiice. Man I love this board. :)

KCat 01-20-2006 07:52 PM

Unfortunately, this happens to models all the time. Fake MySpace profiles, fake Adult Friend Finder profiles...it's usually some guy who puts up an ad saying he wants to trade pics with other bisexual girls. :disgust

Regardless of the motivation or who is posting the photos, it can hurt the model's reputation & it is copyright infringement. I would get your lawyer to draw you up a cease & desist letter as you'll probably come across this again. They make take your emails more seriously when they receive that instead of a polite request to remove the images.

That will attract some attention. You could also do some security things. Like tag your art, disable right click, .htaccess change or do more in flash. People can get arond these things, but it slows them down.

Incorrect I think.

A photographer taking the pics is the copyright holder, not the model. Unless the photographer is working for hire, contracted by the model.

If I visit a cam show & I take screencaps of the show & I polish up the image, etc, etc. It is I that created the image & therefore I am the copyright holder, irregardless of the subject contained within such image.

The only recourse amy has, is in regrads to images obtained off her website.
If someone took screencaps of a cam show that he or she recorded, this person is technically the copyright holder as producer, or photographer. If this person paid for this show, the model is technically performing a work for hire, so has no recourse to claim copyright or ownership of such recorded material. :2 cents: that's my theory... don't take this as factual, but I do think this is the case.. ask a lawyer

A model wouldn't be posting photos on her website unless she was the copyright holder. Assuming that because Amy isn't the photographer she is also using the photos without permission is just silly. I'm sure she has the neccessary work for hire releases from her photographers.

The cam captures are another story because technically Camz owns all rights to the images. When Amy started doing shows for that company, she filled out the model release & they would be the ones who own the copyright.

Just because a photographer takes a photo doesn't mean he can publish the photo anywhere he wants to solely because he is the copyright holder. Yes he owns the rights to the photo but when you publish an image of someone, you absolutely need to have a model release. They are two separate issues. A photographer only owns the rights to the media itself, not the publishing rights of that media.

I would love to see you record the Victoria Secret fashion show cam broadcast, throw some filters on it & then claim that you hold the copyright because you "created the image".

MHowe 01-21-2006 05:44 AM

ok let me repharase that if there is anything that is copywritten and the people dont own the copywrite I can get rid of them it may take awhile but I can usually get hem taken down. Myspace is one of my specialties though I have good connections with them :D

chadglni 01-21-2006 06:16 AM

KMR, you get dumber by the fucking day. Yes a C&D, do you have any god damned idea how big of a deal copyrights are? You keep on shit talking the wrong people and someone is going to fuck your spamming ass wannabe bling bling world up.

Your pics were removed upon request. As I explained to you, unfortunately sometimes we have members that submit fake photos...we do our best to remove them as notified. That's why they aren't there anymore. I was out last night when you messaged me, I'm sorry I missed you and this thread.

Did you even read what I just typed in the message above this? We weren't the ones 'using' her pics...we allow our members to submit pictures of themselves and someone falsely submitted Amy's photos instead. The pictures are down at her request.

Have to say I am starting to really like myjah. Always gets the job done, and always get back to you on whatever you ask. Which is pretty good considering I am pretty sure she deals with 90% of the support requests.

You are kidding, right? Please tell me that you are kidding.

In what world does taking a screen cap make you the copyright holder? Does that mean that if I grab some frames off TiVo of say American Idol that I can sell them on eBay as original content because I clicked a mouse button?

Come on man, the person (model) that is repersented in the image is the copyright holder unless he/she signs those rights over to the photographer.

Please tell me that you were kidding...

woj 01-22-2006 09:50 PM
