Ever knew a murder?

I met these two in the bahamas in 1996. I'm even mentioned in the book written by the other son.

also about 15years ago , my dad used to have a workmate that lived around the corner from us , he a nazi cross tatt on his neck , huge thing , one night he tried to book himself into the nuthouse , they told him to go away and take these pills
the next night he smashed his gf's head in with a baseball bat

Plenty of victims -- that's pretty easy to spot -- but how do you know you really met one, unless you were standing there too, in which case -- lol

I did time with this guy in 87 when he was on trial for murder.

This killer executed two victims by shooting them in the back of the head during a grocery store robbery in Madison County in 1987. One victim died almost instantly, the other died two days later. The killer confessed to these crimes and to the attempted execution of another grocery storekeeper one month earlier in which the victim survived a gunshot to the back of his head.

I was in the Madison county jail cause of alot of stupid shit I did while drunk in college (all misdemeanors) and the place was over crowded. So I ended up on the felony walk with this guy. He didnt talk much but did say he was whacked out of his mind on meth when he did it and didnt remember a thing. I remember that the day they convicted and sentenced him they took him straight to death row from the court room. No one ever came to get the stuff he left on the walk in his cell. They just divied it up.

A few buddies that I grew up with..All basically drug related about 5 people killed over debts..needless to say they aren't going to see the outside world again

MikeVega 01-20-2006 08:27 PM

in high school a pretty good friend of mine went to jail for five years for being involved in a murder. I think he rolled on the other guys there but he would never say that ... when he got out he was a different person ..never really spoke to him much after that ..just a few times when he first got out ..

here is the story (short version) him and a few other guys that i didn't know well went out in him bronco .. he was driving ... they went to the city and picked up a hooker ... after they all took there turn in the truck they tried to rob the money back ... she put up a fight and one of the guys bashed her head in with a mag light. the left her under a wooden door on the side of the belt parkway ... being the driver he said he had no idea they would do that and was scared not to drive them to dump the body. he got 5 years and 5 probation .. shit happens

I won't even get into my dad ... that would be an entirely new thread.

I used to chum around with a couple really bad cats when I was around 8 or 9 years old. The whole city feared them. They were like a couple years older than me be but already in trouble for many violent things and for drugs and for property damage. Really really really bad cats for their age. They were twins. One, Jamie, was more violent than the other. He put his brither Danny up to everything and danny has nothing to lose so he went along with it.

About 10 years ago Jamie and a buddy robbed some old lady and tied her up then beat her to death. He panicked then ran. He got a few blocks away, realized what he had done and went back to see if he could revive her. The attempts failed. He called the cops and turned himself in. Ended up being sentenced to 25 years. He turned in his buddy too.

iwantchixx 01-20-2006 08:42 PM

There was an escaped serial killer on the loose in the late 80's and my mother was hithiking to get home and ended up getting picked up by him in a transport he stole from a trucker he shot. He dropped her off at her exit then drove to pick up his buddy and they found a random farmhouse, broke in and killed the two elderly ocupents in their sleep. talk about a close call.

The serial killer is named Allen Legere.

Real fucked up cookie.

I had a friend once that pretended he was a gay hooker and picked up a trick.
Took the trick back to the trick house and tried to rob him.
Trick put up a big fight and Rick had to stab him 26 times before the trick backed off, of course the trick died from his injuries.
Rick got life with no parole for 25 yrs. He is still in the Pen, got about 10 years left on his sentence I think.

Yep...a guy who hung with our group back in high school killed a cop years later.

We all knew he was borderline psycho back then - didn't come as a great surprise when I heard about it.

Babagirls 01-20-2006 11:32 PM

my first kiss was from a dude who killed someone (with a 12 guage shotgun, by accident) and was sentenced to life in prison.

he SAYS it was supposed to be a robbery without any shooting but his finger slipped and hit the dude in the shoulder so then he killed him (cuz the dude knew him and could identify him). doesnt make sense to me but whatever.

Growing up in Canarsie, Brooklyn I knew a handful of murderers and more than a handful of people that got murdered.

It was also the Mob's dumping ground for dead bodies throughout time.

The movie Goodfellas was centralized around Canarsie.

Those guys were the fathers, uncles, cousins and grandfathers of a number of the kids I grew up with. As a matter of fact, the Paulie Sicero character was the grandfather of this girl I was messing around with when I was 16 yrs old. His real name was Paul Vario AKA Big Paulie. (her father was Paul Jr of course)

After finding that out who she was related to, I stopped seeing her shortly thereafter - and my best friend Joey ended up dating her for 5 years!

After dating her for about a year and a half he was like part of their family. They loved him and treated him like a son. (not mob-wise - just family) I remember Joey vividly telling me one day that he was in her house and Geraldo Rivera had a popular talk show (back then) - and the real Henry Hill was on as a guest in a disguise. This girl's mother freaked out and was like TURN THAT SHIT OFF! Your grandfather's in prison because of that rat cock sucker!

LOL

Two... least that I knew of.

One was young when he was part of a duo (the other was a gang killer - never knew him) who killed a guy and buried him in some forest. They young guy served his term and that's when I first met him. He was so damned straight and intent on remaining that way the rest of his life and is married with a family.

The other was... well, a sad case all round and in his 50's when I first met him. He had spent his whole life murdering people for a well-known "team" (who by that time were all in a jail cell or dead). Dunno how many people he actually murdered - but it's 99% certain it was more than he was ever convicted on. He has spent most of his life in and out of jails on murder and related offenses.

Oddly, when he was released from jail, a friend gave him a job managing a store - based on the logic he would not dip his hand in the cash register - "petty theft" was beneath him :winkwink:

The guy is not the most intelligent of people - he was "used" by others all his life to do their dirty work - and he did it.

So... this store is kinda upmarket and the clientelle were wealthy old ladies with blue-rinse hair blah... John gets dressed in a very smart suit for his new job and actually performs pretty well. He calls the customers "Mam" and "Sir" and becomes very polite :-)

But.. there were these notable moments when his roleplay slipped.. One was on a rainy day and this elderly lady with blue-rinse hair was about the enter the store - so John proceeds to open the door and take her umbrella. She says, "It's a very wet day". John replies, "Yes, it's a fucking foul pissing day Mam" I don't think that lady actually believed what she thought she was hearing. :1orglaugh But otherwise John was the cream of public relations.

After a few years, he obviously met up with old friends who by that time had stopped murdering people cos they found the drugs trade more profitable. And, once again, John was used to, dunno exactly, but carry some drugs, and ended up in jail once more where he died of cancer.

In the interim, he ended up marrying a lady in a *very* high and respectable position (can't say here) in an international organisation. The pair of them could not be further apart in background or education, but they seemed happy enough.

As a child I witnessed a stabbing..but did I ever know a murderer?

yes a very famous one at that.

T. Cullen Davis, the original O.J. Millionaire who got off, even though his wife held a conversation with him, and witnesses outside the residence heard his voice.

I even spent the night in his mansion that was the crime scene a few times, and was over there often.

I was friends with his step son he adopted Trey, and acquaintances of his real sons.

The strange thing was when I was a kid, I was an avid reader of newspapers and it happened I'm guessing when I was around 8 or 9. Anyway I used to read about the murder all the time and it amazed me to find myself meeting Cullen and staying in that house about 5 years later.

They even made a TV Movie of the week about Cullen.
Here's a link about the murders.

In a similar vein.. dunno why, but I seem to end up which what appear to be upstanding members of society around who eventually turn out to be something else. :)

I had a main lawyer years back.. well-known in legal circles and respected. Tho it did appear odd that he seemed to spend most of the year travelling the globe and remember asking a few times when he actually earned some money.
He also has this fetish for expensive suits - he was like a walking Gucci sign.

On hindsight.. there were another few clues. One was when we were chatting in his office and there was a photograph lying on his desk - he glanced at it and smiled. I picked up the pic and it was of a shack in the middle of a jungle with a sign up front with the words "Banco de Con" :1orglaugh I assumed this was something he was working on for his criminal clientelle and never asked.

Next I heard was when all hell broke loose and he was arrested for, at that time, was some financial crime. Then it turns out he was the prime financial "manager" for what was then the biggest robbery ever and had been filtering the proceeds into real estate and hell knows what else all over the globe. The majority of this money was never recovered.

I thought it might be a clue to get a new lawyer cos he was not gonna be around for a while. :1orglaugh

He's no longer in jail and last I heard he had insurance companies on his ass trying to claim enormous amounts of money, but with nada chance in hell cos that guy would never talk. He now leads a quiet life and does not seem to have money worries and dines every day at the most expensive places in town. There have been various estimates placed on the current value of his investments from that robbery, but they range widely and between $2billion to $5billion. Either way, he was obviously a sound financial advisor :1orglaugh

My college roommate shot a guy who was raping the girls who worked for my friend.

bjjb 01-21-2006 06:48 AM

Shit I forgot about these 2.

I went to high school with a girl named Angela. She was a fukkin hottie and had guys crawling all over her trying to get in her pants. But she only did black guys. She settled down with this BIG black guy named Garland right out of high school. It all seemed good but she tried to file a restraining order on him a couple of years later, and he shot her on the courthouse steps as she was coming out after getting the restraining order. VERY small town, but bigtime scandal. Prosecutor who is a total dick was going hot and heavy for the death penalty, but offered him life with no parole to take the death penalty off the table. He knew they had him dead to rights cause there were like 10 people who saw him shoot her. He'll never see daylight again as a free man. I knew him in my younger days and he seemed like a decent guy. Guess pussy will really fuck ya up sometime.

Another guy I graduated high school with is sitting in the KY state penetentiary doing life with no parole. He was a total dick in high school and after the few times I saw him. A few years ago him and a cousin of mine were out partying and drunk as fuck. I think he blew a .30 or something. Anyway, they hit a couple on the road and killed the driver and really fucked up his wife. From what I hear Roy showed no rmorse at all for what happened. So the same prosecutor as in the first case gave him the same choice. Apparently he was eligible for the death penalty, so he offered him life with no parole. He took it. My cousin has been mentally and emotionally fucked up ever since. He didnt get any time.

I was a bail bondsmen back in the day for 2 and 1/2 years . I met alot of murders. It is crazy cause you would never think that they would ever do such a thing. The Kings and Queens act like they are all innocent.

bjjb 01-21-2006 06:55 AM

I bet that was an interesting job. Meet all kindsa people I guess lol They did away with bail bondsmen here in KY in the early 80's I think. Now they have pretrial diversion I think. A Court officer gathers all the info on a suspect then makes recommendations to the judge. Been a while (almost 20 yeaars) since I was in jail so my memoriy might be a little fuzzy hehe

Yeah it was a great job. Made 5% of the bail as profit and did alot of 100,000 bonds and up to 1 mil bonds. It is not fun though when they skip and you have to do the recovery work on them. The good thing about that is when you catch a person that skipped on the bail, you make an additional 5% . Then you just have to drop them off at the county jail in the r and d and get them back in the system.

bjjb 01-21-2006 07:39 AM

You did the actual recovery work your self or hired it out? Ive done some repo work in my past which is nothing like bail recovery, but uses alot of the same techniques for skip tracing and shit. I know I dont want to do that kinda work anymore lol

We did it ourself. I caught people on the most wanted list for new jersey and new york before. I also caught the small time criminals that just did white collar crimes ,intent to distibute cds, guns, bullets, false information, drunk driving, assault etc.
I used to have the phones locked in a couple of the county jails and they sent us all of the business. I also had the co's getting me bails also. It is a cut throat business alot hard to deal with comeptition then design work. Bailbondsmen would kill each other or do fucked up things to each other. Most of them are dirty anyway.

I've known two murderers and one girl who tried to kill her husband. I knew them all WELL, too, which is really scary.

The chick was a girl I've known from CHURCH since I was like, two or so. We hung out all the time when I moved back to my hometown for high school. She was a tramp; I was a virgin. I slept on a dozen guy's couches while she banged them and I'd have to wake her up to get me home before my mom got home from working night shift. She had a fiance the whole time, too. Ten years later she's married to a different guy, cheating on him, and she tries to poison his chicken dinner, but got busted because it tasted funny, and she accidently let the answering machine record her convo with her boyfriend about what she did. I couldn't find a news link but here's her mugshot: http://www.hernandosheriff.org/Recor... ubmit3=Submit

Then there was Jesse. My now ex-husband worked with him for a while long before we hooked up. (My ex and I have been friends since we were 14 and 16.) I was dating a guy at the time who also worked with him, so all of us hung out a lot. He was a very mild mannered gentle seeming sort of guy; I would NEVER have guessed he could hurt even a dog, much less a person. Then one day I heard that people were digging up his old yard, and as it turned out, his adopted mother made him shoot his adopted father when he was 15. They buried him in the yard, laid a concrete slab over the grave, and raised pigs there. The house was eventually sold, and not too long after, someone talked, and it all came out. Here's a news link: http://www.sptimes.com/News/100200/n...asts_lig.shtml

This next one is the scariest for me, because I stayed at this guy's house for a few weeks when I was in a pinch. My son played in that yard where the body was found, and I had a little fling with the brother Michael just before I left. Here are two news links, the second explains more details about what happened when the guy was murdered, and funny enough, the first one even mentions the last guy's story, Jesse.

There was a guy in who owned a video store where I grew up, real nice guy.. then one day the store closed and we found out later he turned himself in for a murder he had committed like 15 years ago.

Would have never guessed

Raven 01-21-2006 10:56 AM

A friend of mine, a very good friend of mine, was living in San Jose, California. He was getting ready to move back to the east coast and was supposed to come to my house and stay for a month or so.

Three months went by and I hadn't heard from him. His phone was disconnected.

One day, in September, I received a phone call from the police in Los Gatos. Seems my friend went berserk.

He had invited a female co worker over to his house for dinner. Things went terribly awry and he ended up strangling her.

If that weren't bad enough, he bit off her nipple and flushed it down the toilet. Then, he proeceeded to dismember her body in his bathtub, placing her parts in nine garbage bags.

Once that gory detail was completed, he took a butcher knife and sliced open his intestines. That didn't kill him, so he vertically slashed his wrist. When that didn't kill him, he cut his neck, aiming for his own jugular.

Still, he didn't die; so he called the police and confessed. He's in Tracy California and when the Review Board called me about parole ( he got 15 - life, plus 3 for desecrating a body)..they asked me if I thought he were eligible for parole.

I said no. Hell no.
