How much does the weather effect YOUR mood?

For me it effects it a lot... when it's all rainy and shitty outside, i get in a bad mood... but when it's sunny i feel great

and i'm not talking about just a little bit... i think theres actually a medical condition where you need certain things from the sun , or a specific spectrum or something, don't remember the name

After Shock Media 01-20-2006 05:43 PM

fuck You!

candyflip 01-20-2006 05:44 PM

I don't do well in the winter.

Yeah, sorry about that.

Babagirls 01-20-2006 05:45 PM

alot.
if its dark/snowy/hella cold outside, i can sleep for 12 hours easily. i think i go into Hibernation mode or something lol

if its sunny out though, i sleep 6-7 hours and im full of energy all day.

Furious_Male 01-20-2006 05:46 PM

It doesnt bother me. Some people get depressed when its dark and rainy out. I personaly feel more relaxed and get more work done when its lousy out.

Vitasoy 01-20-2006 07:04 PM

I don't get depressed, but I do seem happier if it's sunny outside

2HousePlague 01-20-2006 07:06 PM

maybe why Seattle has the highest suicide rate in the country?

Mutt 01-20-2006 07:10 PM

it's a real medical condition called appropriately S.A.D - for Seasonal Affective Disorder.

that's the name i was trying to think of!

they also sell lights you can buy for your office and stuff that have been medically proven to help with that condition, that give off the specific required spectrums

jess_awc 01-20-2006 07:16 PM

I believe its called Seasonal Depression or Seasonal Affective Disorder. It is an actual condition and there's lots of info online you can find about it (just google it).

When I lived in Seattle, with the gloomy days and such, I was down alot. Sucks ass. Move somewhere with lots of sun and hope you feel better soon :)

I like all weather especially snow. It doesnt affect my mood much. I really love to hike in the rain, whereas most of my partners hate it and get all pissy. I am sure it affects alot of folks ..maybe some of us don't pay attention to it that much.

Spider Ninja 01-20-2006 07:28 PM

rain = good, sun = bad ;-)

mojojojo-hodough 01-20-2006 08:20 PM

Hey, I'm a night owl, as long as it's dark I'm happy, if it's raining, cold out, whatever it's all good, my philosophy the darker the better.

Spunky 01-20-2006 08:22 PM

I like the rain..it actually makes me calm and helps me to sleep.I'm not a huge sun worshiper

When it's cloudy and rainy outside I don't want to get out of bed. Sometimes I can get up and already know it's a rainy day without even having to look outside.

Oh, and when it's sunny and 90 degree's outside, I don't wanna goto work.
