I have no idea how to use a proxy. I never ever used one before.
Is there one available online where I can select the proxy country & enter the url to visit via this proxy without downloading anything or without registering etc. I am trying to check a geoip redirect to make sure it is working.

but with the option to select a country so that I would theoretically be visiting from that country & find out if the redirect is working. I need to check my site from china, to see if it gets redirected.

well, that site has a list of open proxys that you can use to do just that. Just sort by country, and edit your browser settings to use that IP and run the test. It's a bit of manual work but it does the job.

Its not that hard. or you could ask some of us to test it for you.

OH, ok, now I think I get it. I download the software then use the ips on the list. :upsidedow .... :1orglaugh sorry for sounding so dumb about it. never saw need to learn about them because I thought proxies were something only hackers & cheaters used.

Yeah, that's pretty much the same as the one I posted. I need to be able to visit from china. Is your proxy ip from china?

Click "Service" \ "Internet Options";
Click "Connections";
If you use Dial-Up connection, choose your connection and click "Settings" button.
if you use LAN connection, click "LAN Settings" button in the "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings" group box;
Enable "use a proxy server";
In fields "Address" and "port", type proxy name and proxy port number;
If nessesary, enable "bypass proxy server for local addresses";
Click "OK";
Click "OK" to close IE settings.
