Words "girl" or "girls" in domain name...

This is cool? It doesn't imply underage? I just need a few opinions.

Should be fine unless you attach other words that may suggest it.

Korban 01-20-2006 02:35 PM

It's probably best to stay away from it.

The Ghost 01-20-2006 02:35 PM

No, it does not imply underage.

SteveLightspeed 01-20-2006 02:35 PM

We have "LightspeedGirls" --- I don't think that implies their age

I wouldn't register something like "LittleGirls.com"

there is a huge difference

TheHatchet 01-20-2006 02:38 PM

I vote that "girl" doesn't imply age at all.

Shaker2 01-20-2006 02:41 PM

i think this cool :)

Kristian 01-20-2006 02:41 PM

Thanks for the quick reply, folks!

You've helped me make up my mind on some domains. I think the key element is whether or not the words girl or girls, used in conjunction with other words, imply minors.

Cheers :)

EdgeXXX 01-20-2006 02:45 PM

It's fine. It does not imply age.

chowda 01-20-2006 02:46 PM

I have quite a few domains with the word girls in them. Google adwords will not let you use the domain for keywords, but besides that, you should be okay...

Asian Diva Girls features only 18+ legal girls...

Some people refer to men as "boys", as in, "Hey, boys...", "They are my boys...", or "Flyboys" (aviators).

"Boys" and "girls" are common colloquial terms that can have no relevence to age.

Another example, where I grew up, we would refer to a group of people, or even a group of females, as "guys", as in, "Do you guys want to go catch a movie?" Even girls use the term guys when referring to a group, so it has nothing to do with gender in that context.

www.rhinosgirls.com is cool!

PatrickKing 01-20-2006 03:26 PM

The top site in my program is CityStyleGirls :)

czarina 01-20-2006 03:27 PM

I dont think that girl or girls makes any reference to age. Unless like everyone said you use the wrong words with it.
