This is what you get for running a freehost...
I found this gallery posted at the hun.
http://www.smuthosts.com/users/roadt...l1/thehun.html It has 48 pictures in one single gallery. Damn, thats a lot of pics for a gallery. I feel sorry for smuthosts for all the useless bandwidth this gallery is using. |
The sooner TGP's ban all freehosts the better.
|
yeah, i agree.. but where are us newbies gonna learn how to convert TGP traffic :1orglaugh
|
I buy 100 gig of bandwidth for $120 USD. It's not much of an investment and its a SHITLOAD of bandwidth for TGP's. I don't understand the problem.
|
Newbies aren't going to convert TGP traffic by giving away 48 pics in every gallery. Surfers will just blow their lode and go to bed.
|
Why do people believe that the more pics/movies they put in a gallery the more sales they will make?
With that reasoning, why stop at 48 pics? Why not 80-90? Or hey, maybe if you post a gallery with 2500 pics in it you'll make millions? |

Shit id hate to think even I would have to pay for every gallery I have made? shit the storage alone must be 2 gigs ;) |
Someone forgot to tell him when you buy content, you don't need to post the whole Cd in 1 gallery..lol
|
Doesn't help conversions but it usually insures the tgp will post it. lol Not many tgp sites refuse that sort of thing and they should because they shoot their own chances as well.
10 - 16 max and NO hardcore or the avg surfer lost it by the 4th pic! |

I have one domain with all my galleries on it and thats hosted at www.mytghost.com. Check it out. |
Yeah, TGPs aren't helping anyone by supporting newbies stupidity. It would be nice if the hun would show some leadership and not post galleries like that.
|
Shit yes. I've gotten heaps of better galleries with paid hosting turned down by The Hun. It's his page so he can list what he wants but that gallery was S...H...I...T. And that content was NOT 'fresh'.

It's a catch 22 sometimes. The galleries that TGPs will list are clearly not the best galleries for selling stuff. One of the hardest things about being a fuckin' newbie is figuring out how to walk that line, and find selling tricks that TGPs will accept. I'm just frustrated today -- got my first gallery on the Hun, 50k unique visitors of which exactly 279 clicked through to my sponsor. :( Obviously I fell off the line instead of walkin' it. |

who do you think is more important for the tgp owner: the webmaster or the surfer? now, i don't own a tgp but i would guess the surfer is more important because the tgp makes the $$$ from the visitors not the webmasters; and the webmaster will always come back because he needs the traffic of the tgp.
with this reasoning, i suppose the hun posted this gallery BECAUSE it had more free content to offer the surfers... the problem is - by doing that, such webmasters are screwing the rest of us trying to convert galleries. |
I think TGPs that post galleries like that get hurt as well though. It makes it less likely that surfers will click on any of the TGPs own advertisements and less likely that they will sign-up to any of the TGPs sponsors.
|
Obviously 48 pictures is far too many for a damn gallery, however if you look at the gallery you'll notice about half of them aren't nude at all, and the rest of them on show tit, I don't think this is a huge problem for any webmasters and its probably not THAT appealing to most surfers either.
:2 cents: |
We'd get MUCH better conversion rates if there was a heck of a lot LESS nudity. Make them PAY for the good stuff! 'Use your head... cosmo for say 3 bucks and see bikinis or penthouse for 6 or whatever it costs now for bare skin?
|
I currently use free-hosts to host my TGP galleries. I am thinking about moving it to my paid host but I fear the b/w bill. If I get about 70,000 visitors a day and my page contains 14 pics totalling about 750KB, how much b/w do you think I will use for a month?
-eru |
That's a fucked up gallery, take a look at the site his advertising :1orglaugh
I had to signup for his site, that tour really made me horny :moon Eru i would say about 200GB a month for that, you can get that dirt cheap these days. |
Don't worry about the bandwidth costs.
I started out with freehosts over a year ago....I used freehosts for about 2 months....then I switched to paid hosting. When I switched to paid hosting, the number of sales I made from each gallery doubled. Unless you make amazingly crappy galleries, the extra sales you make will more than pay for the hosting costs. You gotta spend money to make money. |
Bandwidth on hosts that are good for gallery posting is so cheap nowadays it's crazy. Less than $1 a gig, and people are worried about not being able to pay the bill?
If you can't make $1 a gig TGPing something is really wrong... |
Hmm, OK. For the next few days I will host my galleries on my ISPRIME account. I'll see how they do.

what about 110 pics? http://www.hotfreehost.com/www/roomf...ics/01bump.htm |

something like 1570 Gigs which would set you back more or less $400 but then all have to watch every pic which most donīt do.....as mentioned before switching to paid hosting would result in increase in sales too so I would say go for the paid hosting it will benefit you!! ehh No I donīt sell hosting so Iīm not after your bucks :1orglaugh DynaMite |
Soul_Rebel....that gallery is crazy! 110 pics!
|
yeah,it's insane

welcum to yesterday ! :thumbsup |
I'm not so against the concept of freehosts IF they would do a bit more to keep this mass overload of free content away from the surfer.
Newbies start in the business. They post 50 pic pages, don't make a dime, and leave the business. Their shit stays up and only hurts the rest of the business. If the freehosts would make a simple rule -- i.e. log into your account at least once a month, or if they'd send out an email with a link that had to be clicked once a month to maintain the account as active, they could dump all the bs, turn it into 404 pages -- which are infinitely better than 50 pic galleries, and it would be better all around. If they were smart when they sent the active tracking email, they'd put some marketing into it and pick up a few bucks that way too... Telling everyone when they signed up for an account that this will happen would mean no one was getting screwed by the freehost. After all with paid hosting if a guy quits paying his bill, his pages don't keep loading. On freehosting if a guy isn't in the business, why does his ref code ever need to load again? |
