KastleArchive's new digs! [PICS]

Its just a summer home...but it'll do for now. We just need to hire a few scantily-clad chambermaids and a couple of winos to help re-decorate a little.

Would you believe - its in downtown Toronto. :)

Its called Casaloma, built by Henry Pellatt between 1911 and 1914.

I'm guessing that they only allow mainstream shoots. Would make a helluva set for a porn movie though - just better have an effcient plan for shooting at those prices (and hope nobody breaks anything, lol).

BTW, is the pitcture of Sir Juicy of D. Links an original or a print? I heard that originals were worth a lot of money since they are really rare and add prestige and value to homes where they hang.

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

From what I hear - its only a reproduction (kinda' like Sir Juicy himself) :winkwink:

The print was rescued from a Hav-A-Nap motel they were tearin' down in Goosepimple Junction, VA.

That I don't know. The day I shot those pics they had a closed movie set going on in a few areas around the grounds - but judging by the caravans of gear it was likely mainstream.

Never hurts to ask if anyone's serious on finding out, of course. Hell, topless is legal in Ontario these days :winkwink:

I love that place - been there many times - would love to do a shoot in the horse farm at the back with the stables. LOL.. the underground tunnels also lend themselves to some interesting ideas.

awesome pics there my friend

...and the unfinished grotto pool also has location potential.

I'm likin' that last pic.

Makes me think I could step around the corner right into the dungeon area.

Yep...looks that way - but that's actually the midway point on the way up to one of the towers. The spiral staircase through the doorway leads up to the observation area...which has a gorgeous view of downtown Toronto on a good clear day.

The bathroom was quite remarkable, actually - considerin' most houses in Toronto back in the early 1900s didn't have indoor plumbing. Not only did the castle have plumbing...it had separate showers and tubs, and the shower had multi-head spray nozzles. Extremely uncommon for its era.

The castle has somethin' like a dozen bathrooms, if I recall. I lost count. The marble finish was gorgeous and I loved the brass fittings.

Violetta 01-21-2006 12:16 AM

lol @ juicy on that pic
