Man! Spidey 3 is gearing up to be so fucking kick-ass that it wouldn't surprise me one minute that it beats Titanic at the box office.

All us old time Spidey fans know who Gwen Stacey is. Ron Howard's daughter is going to play Gwen Stacey.

Add to that Sandman is a villain and maybe Hobgoblin and you KNOW it's gonna rock.

I liked both of them cant wait for the third one

I know, I hate that guy.... and scrawny weasel guy as a pumped up Venom just doesn't seem right.

Topher Grace as venom? wtf? I used to be a venom 'fan' and collected comic where he appeared (I gots me the first spider-man's where he makes an appearance), anyhow.. I could *almost* see Topher Grace as Carnage, but you need are *REALLY* bulky guy as Venom, like a pro-bodybuilder or something.

It's all due to the 'Ultimate' storylines geared more towards the younger generation. Making most of the heroes and villians younger with slightly different backgrounds/personalities has been an effective method so far for Marvel. Unfortunately, it's also being employed on the movies being released as well.

if they're planning for a trilogy, making Spiderman 3 as the last installment, I think its just fitting if James Franco would play the main villain. it will be the final battle between the two ex-friends.

Spidey 2 was the best superhero movie, imo, right after "Batman Begins" which takes my number one spot for superhero movies.

I liked the first one, didn't really care for the 2nd one. The 3rd one however has my favourite Spiderman villain in it, Venom. We shall see how they pull it off.

Batman Begins was total crap in my book, the first one will always be my favorite because it hard the dark feeling only Burton can pull off.

Beat Titanic? Even though Titanic sucked dick it was the highest grossing films of all time. None of the spidermans were even close to being the top 10.. Unrealistic expectations..

IMHO Burton put the dark, comic-book touch on the first Batman movie while Nolan made Batman Begins more like into a movie narrative that's why some people find it so dramatic.
back to spiderman 3, I just wish Topher Grace so much good luck in trying his hand on being the bad guy

hm... i only saw spiderman 1 and it was allright nothing really special... i liked the spiderman comics wheni was younger maybe i was expecting something better
it had too much the kiddie hollywood feel to it

Batman Begins was amazing and almost equal to Batman 1.. But Batman 1 will always be the best in my book. You guys have really bad taste in movies..

Yeah Topher Grace getting a good role, about time, I think from what I've heard that Venom's new look isn't just due to Topher, but a spin upon Spidey when the Black Costume first appeared in the Secret Wars, which is why they've adopted this thinner looking Eddie Brock and Venom

there's no dought spiderman is the most powerfull and amazing superhero of all times, everybody envys sipdey. is 4 sure that spidey 3 i´ll be as good or better than the other 2

Combined, both movies hauled in $1.6 Billion domestically and globally. With ticket prices rising and IF the story is a tragic love story you can bet it could well beat Titanic's record of $600 million domestically. Spidey I hit over $400 million. Now with more women in it it should draw more of the female/romance crowd and put it over the top which would be 'Amazing'.

Do you think it's really Tobey Maguireis in the suit when Spidy is swinging around? It's called CGI. Not real famillar with the comic but wasn't the guy who became Venom a skinny type dude?

Thomas Hayden Church looks just like Sandman! Glad they stuck with the look AND costume. Sandman is no joke as a villain. He's deadly and tough to beat.

I'd expect Topher to go under the same Gym regime as Toby did.

However, what I don't get, is how their changing the characters. The guy that Mary Jane was about to get married to, the astronaut guy, is supposed to be Venom. Right?

Personally, I'd like to see VENOM or Carnage, or Mysterio. They could get CRaZY with special effects with mysterio and carnage
