ATTN Gallery Makers - would you do this?
 

I see lots of TGPs giving daily listings if you put one of their sponsor banners on your gallery. Easypic being one of them...I just got an email about it. I can't help but think this is a slap in the face. My content, My BW & Your Sponsor? am I missing something?

Would you take daily listings for this price? (Not just talking about easypic either, i believe thumbzilla does this also)

not only do they want to use your content and time, but now they want to get banners on galleries? i can see offering top spots daily for a price but this is too much.

Mark's Bookmark's has required you to place a link to one of the paysites he's partnered up with for over 2 years. I used to love getting listed at Mark's, his traffic kicked ass. I'd STILL be submitting there daily if his script was not fucked up. I keep getting kicked back because it can't see the jpegs (which ARE there), and I never got a reply to any e-mails.

But, for a site with crappy traffic that might send me a whopping 500 hits? No way.

Yeah Mark's only requires a text link.. That I don't have a problem with but, a big banner on my page that I don't get paid for.. I wouldn't do that for any TGP.. Well...... Maybe if The Hun tells me he would link one of my galleries daily if I put a Hun Store banner up:winkwink:

I am using a new recip script with galleries that will work with the tgps wanting banners I havent used it but with one so far but it puts the banner on the page for traffic comming from that site. but if the page is listed on thehun or al4a or some other high traffic site the banner is not on the page for that traffic.

All i can say is, i hope i have some webmasters that fuckin' stupid when i start my TGP. It's completely unreasonable to expect that in my opinion. What a shitty deal..

Tgps that treat me well i treat well with quality, sold galleries with good content. Tgps that do not, I do not submit to.

I serriously think that thats a overkill on the tgps part, but if any tgp wants to pitch that to me, and wants to prove its worth it they can talk to me on icq# 101121675

baaaaa - why should you guys have your banners on your own galleries, all the banners on your galleries should goto the TGPs and you should only just supply the pics. It's their traffic, you shuold be honored that they had the curtiousy to even look at your gallery, yet alone post it.

I do a bit of posting every once and a while. I gladly put the recip to the sponsor at Marks Bookmarks... it's well worth being a prefered subbmitter there.


Steve.... I had that problem before of the .jpgs not showing up on his script. It was a problem with my anti-hotlinking .htaccess that somehow didnt allow his script to read the .jpg's.

You might try removing your .htaccess while the script checks that gallery, then replacing it after it is done. I had a gallery listed yesterday that was submitted through his script.
