Should I allow compliant mailers ?

I?m a little confused as to whether or not I should allow affiliates using mailers to promote my new program.

Looking around at the different A.U.P for bulk emails, and it seems most programs have banned affiliates from promoting their sites using any sort of email promotion, including double-opt-in, can spam compliant lists.

Now, what is the major problem with allowing affiliates, who are compliant, to promote your sites?

And, even if they do violate your A.U.P policy and promote using non compliant lists, how liable are you?

Doesn't matter if people signed up to a quintuple opt-in list and sent a notarized photocopy of a written, signed with blood agreement authorizing the mailer to send the mail, some people are going to complain anyways.

Think if it's worth the potential PR nightmare.

Accept mailers on a per-person basis....check the e-mail out before you allow them to send it, make sure their not using proxies, or other false info & that they can provide accurate information for can-spam. And follow up on that address if you want, send them a letter to the address & ask them to send it back.

If you don't accept legit mailers, then you're missing out on some cake.

Even if you photographed and videoed the person giving DNA, they will still complain, and the courts will still find in their favor.

This was my initial thought, but seeing as most major programs out there don?t allow mailers, legit or not, I assumed the logistics of it are just too hard.

Maybe I should take on one or two to test the waters

Read can-spam laws and you will find out that there is no longer such a thing as a legit mailer unless they collected every email themselves. An opt-in list isn't compliant once sold to someone else to mail.

He said it right.
The biggest and wealthiest mailers are being shut down every day for hundreds of various reasons.
