thats great!

kudos to whoever pulled that off.

Hornydog4cooter 01-18-2006 09:20 PM

Yeah i just seen that. Also just found out the adult movie awards were held here also....

Mr Pheer 01-18-2006 09:22 PM

ever notice that all pirates wear alot of eye liner?

seeric 01-18-2006 09:24 PM

they id say however that all the adult scenes were shot in cali, so technically they didn't really shoot any porn on the boat. at least the city doesn't know if they did. lol.

How could tampa be pissed its like be real ,when we went down there it seemed there was a strip club or a adult toy store on every corner. They must of lied when they went for their filming permit, I dont know how much they can fuck with you on that.

Matt 26z 01-18-2006 09:44 PM

Wasn't this the most expensive porn ever made?

TreasureBucks 01-18-2006 09:51 PM

Ok, so my wife comes in and says, "Hey, they are going to have something on the tv about the pirates movie and st. petersburg"

So, we are watching.....and watching..... and finally at the end of the program, they show the story. I thought that was a nice example of how the media used the story to keep viewers tuned in. :thumbsup

Anyways....

ARGH! X-RATED PIRATE MOVIE HAS CITY RED-FACED

An X-rated pirate movie shot at the municipal pier in St. Petersburg has become a pornographic blockbuster. The movie is called "Pirates" and the producers used the tall ship "Bounty" to shoot some of the scenes. In California, they added the sexually explicit scenes, and the end product is winning awards and giving city officials a red face. Pier managers say they were repeatedly told it would be a rated PG-13 movie. Some city leaders say they are outraged the movie-makers got access under false pretenses.

Its not Tampa. Its St. Petersburg.

Polk County is only a few minutes drive from Tampa, and there is a huge difference there as well.

Just on the inside of the Tampa city limits there sits a Deja Vu and a mile or 2 down the same road, outside of the line, there is a huge debate over a bikini bar.

Tampa and St pete are like comparing Vegas and San Diego.

TreasureBucks 01-18-2006 10:15 PM

Im not a lawyer, but if the city of St. Pete doesnt have a case, i would have to say the move got some good tv advertisement.

Not to mention... Ive never seen this boat. Now i think i will go down and see if I can shoot some promo stuff on it. haha!

Was it the H.M.S. Bounty that it was filmed on?

That was docked up at the Pier this past weekend. They were giving tours of the boat too.

they probably used their full legal names and not "long dong silver". just a guess though :)

HDADULT 01-21-2006 10:21 AM

They got Full Front Page with the DVD and all on TBT "Porn at the Pier?" with full comentary. This is a free entertainment paper that blankets tampa bay. Unreal! Brilliant marketing its almost like this was planned.

RawAlex 01-21-2006 10:40 AM

Did Chio write the press releases? ARRRRR!
