Purchasing equipment over the net. Are these sites legit?
 

I've finally saved-up for my dream video camera. The SonyVX2100. The Local Camera Shops sell em for $2500^. On various sites I visit. They sell em for less than $2,000. Now, I've NEVER really purchased anything over the net. Are these stores legit for selling equipment? Dont' want to get bamboozled. Would you recommend purchasing from these online stores? Please advise. Any & all advice would be appreciative...

ok a word on these sites
they do not carry any product on hand, you order it and they go an pick it up. If it is in stock they ship it to you, but not after trying to upsell you on stuff and these guys are notorious for the hard sell. If you want good prices from no bs type of sellers I recomend bhphotovideo.com, ecost.com, whcamera.com and canogacamera.com. the last two you can call and tell them the best price and they will work with you.

it also could be grey market product especially if it 20% chaeaper then b and h.. I don't know if sony warranties gray market product however on Band H they usually sell both and you can decide ;)

Bhphotovideo.com is the only place I'd buy my still/video cameras. Plain and simple.
