12 yrs in prison for planting finger in wendy's chili..

Ya gotta wonder what the fuck is going on in the justice system that child molesters get a few years and someone who plants a finger in chili gets 12 years...

G-Rotica 01-18-2006 01:43 PM

There is no justice.

Our justice system sucks the cock. Repeatedly.

I think child molesters should never be allowed out of prison. period. no questions asked.

And the guy who planted the finger should do 12 years in jail and another 12 in a mental institute.

pornguy 01-18-2006 01:52 PM

I think that the time is based on the fact that this is NOT her first attempt to defraud a company out of money.

GlydeGirl 01-18-2006 01:52 PM

I think the guy got what he deserved... he was going to defraud Wendy's for millions -- that's how we punish thieves!

Korban 01-18-2006 01:54 PM

It's not about the finger. It's abuout the amount of money they wanted to scam the company for.

crockett 01-18-2006 01:55 PM

umm is anyone else wondering who the hell he got the finger from?

BradM 01-18-2006 01:57 PM

They did that shit something like 35 times. They deserved jail time finally.

X37375787 01-18-2006 01:58 PM

Money talks. Fraud is getting punished harshy, who gives a fuck about child molestation, anyway? :Oh crap

SquireMD 01-18-2006 01:59 PM

the wife got 9 years...the guy got 9 + 3 for nonpayment of child support from a previous relationship...scumbags deserve what they got

:thumbsup i should have said that too. I didnt read all the details , didnt realise they were career defrauders :) They deserve some jail time , but even that isn't enough. They should be forced to do psa's as well.

I guess im just more suprised childmolesters and the ilk , get such light prison terms , when they almost always re-offend.

Thats true , but shouldnt they do "something" to fraudsters that cause finacial damage like that to make them re-imburse the people scammed ? Like the enron folks and such.. HARD TIME for fraudters.. chain gang labour camps until the money is re-paid..

TheLegacy 01-18-2006 02:10 PM

forget jails they only teach you how to be a better criminal - send them into boot camp and serve a few years in the war - that will scare anyone from doing a crime

Yep, there really does seem to be a lot of disparity in the justice system these days.

Money and fame walks.

ronaldo 01-18-2006 02:11 PM

I haven't referred to it as the Justice System in a LONG time.

It's the Legal System.

One word. Huge difference.

SmokeyTheBear 01-18-2006 02:11 PM

or even ibill for that matter.. even if they got criminally charged and did prison time they would likely only get a few years.. If they bought and buried gold.. 2 years for a few million isn't bad... especially in white collar prison..

Now if they had to PAY back that money through hard labour BEFORE they get out , it would likely take them a few more years :)

And the PR nightmare it caused for Wendys. Potentially lots of lost revenue resulting from it. Who knows.

A finger?? You wan't a finger?? getting a fingers easy. Hell I could get you a finger by 3:30.

kenny 01-18-2006 03:55 PM

You know.

I wonder if somebody was actually stupid enough to give up their finger in exchange for some of the settlement money

Papi Chulo 01-18-2006 04:01 PM

Not for nothing, but any asshole who put's a cadaver's finger into a bowl of chili in this day and age is a complete fucking moron. Like what did this asshole think........ Wendys would just pay out millions as "hush money", LMAO

Dumbass, here's 12 years to think up a new scheme!!

This Jerk would have had a better chance on making a few million by slipping down an escalator at the NYC subway.

Although I do agree with the many here that the justice system is terribly fucked up!

Matt 26z 01-18-2006 04:07 PM

It's a deterrent. You can't have people believing they can plant things in fast food and then sue the company.

jacked 01-18-2006 04:11 PM

can't do anything about it thats our fucked up government for you...

EroticySteve 01-18-2006 04:13 PM

Dumb move on their part with the finger in the Chili. Then worse to keep hyping it up to what it was.

It was extortion and that isn't looked highly upon.

However 12 years is excessive.

I think for most people a year of hard time and some rehab would do the trick, but what do I know?

DaddyHalbucks 01-18-2006 04:18 PM

OJ got off way too lightly. And child molesters regularly get off too lightly.

However, I think 12 years is about right for this crime. I am glad they threw the book at them.

Thats right brother

je_rome 01-18-2006 04:29 PM

I wonder if the term "justice system" still applies. first, its not just, second, there's system is fucked up.

mardigras 01-18-2006 04:51 PM

The finger belonged to a friend who lost it in a work accident.

Shit a few years would be an improvement...In VT molesting a child gets you 60 days! It's all out of whack

Trax 01-18-2006 05:01 PM

well deserved considering the damage that was done
people need to be thought a lesson

Double standard justice system. One for those helpless victims and the other is for those big business institutions.

SmokeyTheBear 01-18-2006 08:09 PM

UPDATE . for those wondering where the finger came from , they said it was a co-worker of the womans boyfriend who lost the finger in an industrial accident.

SmokeyTheBear 01-18-2006 08:10 PM

whoops i didnt even read my own thread..

Spunky 01-18-2006 08:12 PM

Lol..those idiots deserve to spend some time in the cooler

Rochard 01-18-2006 08:35 PM

You failed to mention....

"The couple must pay about $170,000 in restitution for workers' lost wages. A judge also ordered them to pay nearly $21.8 million to Wendy's International and JEM Management, which owns the restaurant.".

Wendys lost a lot of money because of this incident - the point where it was laying off employees.

Imagine your wake up one day and your business is threatened because someone lied and it's public knowledge around the world.

I think these two got what they deserved.

KingK7 01-18-2006 08:44 PM

That stupid c*nt just needs a good old fashioned beating.

Was wondering what the actual motivation to put a finger in some shit food was in the first place. Was there a blackmail/extortion attempt?

If not.. tho the judge prob has more clues on the background than any of us.. but sure don't sound like a custodial offense when ya got over $21mill awarded claims - which again, is total lunacy and impractical.

Hell.. I better not dump pigs feet the next Big Mac - tho that would probably be an diet improvement. :1orglaugh

they're career scammers, always looking to make a buck the sleazy way.

Pleasurepays 01-18-2006 11:55 PM

i guess it doesn't matter that the women was a habitual scam artist that had done similar shit many times or that Wendy's lost millions of dollars as a result of this "great idea"

funny how everyone has an opinion and the last thing anyone does before commenting is get the facts about the situation they are commenting on.
