Somehow i doubt israel gives a flying fuck about russia or china. Infact they have orders to strike in March if the nuke research isn't stopped.

SilentKnight 01-18-2006 12:07 PM

Its rather interesting to think that back in history, usually a war helped kickstart the economy of the U.S. with all the munitions and military hardware manufacturing.

Not so these days with Bush's ongoing campaigns. The value of the U.S. dollar just keeps sinking farther and farther in to the toilet, while the national debt keeps escalating to the point where they're starting to talk about federal bankruptcy.

Personally, I can't see how the U.S. could even afford to make a military move on Iran. Not only that, but based on the faulty reasons for going in to Iraq - can anyone believe any justifications for action in Iran? What support would the U.S. gov't have from anyone?

sumphatpimp 01-18-2006 12:07 PM

just feed them Taco Bell and that won't have time to do anything but shit.

Scootermuze 01-18-2006 12:18 PM

Bush will probably use Iran as his 'get out of jail free' card..
If he thinks he'll face criminal charges for the wiretapping, etc.., he'll do the deed with Iran to take focus from the issue and prolong any legal proceedings..

IMO

It is pretty apparent that you have no idea what you are talking about. The US can mobilize 200 to 300k men in a matter of weeks.

Rinaldo 01-18-2006 12:37 PM

We have 2 million forces in reserves national guard and enlisted.

We aren't using them all in iraq, they're scattered everywhere.

fetishblog 01-18-2006 12:45 PM

I think Israel will bomb them before we do, just like they did Iraq back in the 80s. :)

Matt 26z 01-18-2006 12:57 PM

This is the sort of thing that could quietly go away, or blow up into WW3. I think it's either one or the other. No middle ground here.

I don't think Iran would attack Israel on their own. It just doesn't make sense. Not unless there is a conspiracy on the part of Russia and China to get the US into a major war.

Israel should be of concern also. They have a history of baiting larger countries into fighting their wars for them. Usually by setting up their enemies so it looks like they attacked someone, when in reality it was Israel behind it. The evidence behind this is substantial.

The potential also exists that Russia and China could conspire with Israel to get the US involved. Then during a war, Israel does a land grab and Russia and China come out on top after the US is heavily damaged.

Doomsday scenarios, yes.... but the US isn't going to be on top of the world forever. Eventually a series of events will take place that bring us down. We can only hope it's after we are dead and gone.

You mean the ones that were promtly dispatched to help the victims of New Orleans hurrycane?

BTW, not a single sane American will draft to go fight in Iran.
Haven't Iraq taught you anything?

George Bush insists that Iran must not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons. So why, six years ago, did the CIA give the Iranians blueprints to build a bomb?

Got to get the oil prices up at whatever cost.... :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Think the same Matt.

The guy heading Iran is playing games and mouthing off - most likely with an agenda and behind that, more "subtleties" than we would ever know. Either that, or he's a raving lunatic, tho he don't "appear" to be that.

Other factors are.. this ain't an Iraq scenario. Iran does have a military and, whether openly stated or otherwise, plenty friends. They also appear to have dispersed "facilities" capable of developing whatever they want to develop - and little chance of "taking out" all of them.

Who knows... but I smell some folks are thinking of a bigger picture (not necessarily a particularly good or bad one) and possibly thinking the timing is ripe for the "attitude" shown by Iranian leadership. If Iran makes a first move or strike - it's not to their advantage, they just lose all cred and any support they currently have. Let's hope other nations don't walk into the provocation bollocks and take a first strike to give them "justification" that is sellable to Iran's friends.

The leadership may be radical, but Iran overall is not to that degree and "human" underneath :-) This is the same country who were very thankful of eg.. US help with their earthquake problems recently and also offered to reciprocate by sending 20 billion barrels of crude to the the US after they found out there may be a severe oil problem after Katrina hit.

There is actually a movie called "threads" made back in the 80's in which ww3 is started with an invasion of Iran....its pretty accurate of the current world stage in all actuality.

Excellent analysis. I quite agree with it all. :thumbsup

I think that your fucking US goverment should apologize for bombing Iraq and finding no nukes first , then sign up Kyotos convention (as you bring the most of the shit to worlds air) and then finaly shut the fuck up and stop sticking their stupid noses in some1elses biz.

The USA are barely 5% of the world population, but want to impose to the other 95% their way of living and their beliefs ... , but still keep them in a state of subordination to them ...
Then they wonder " Why do you hate AMERIKA " and why they are the targets of attacks... dumbasses .

"The US.... The US.... The US".... here's an idea, how about the rest of the world stop those fucking idiots from developing nuclear weapons and stop sitting on your fucking asses, forcing someone else to be the bad guy?????

kenny 01-18-2006 03:11 PM

France and Germany called for this to be handled in the United Nations Security Council. Which it should I imagine that is what a Security Council is for.

This thing will go on for years in the UN.

If the United States finally goes in it won't even be George Bush as the commander and chief. So the Bush bashing crap makes no sense.

Thats if Israel doesn't bomb Iran's nuclear facilities first. Which they might and who can blame them?

That is what they are doing, but they are undercit by the US .. Very hard to look credible when a " security" member openly discusses the bombing of a sovereign country that didn't attack them ...

Mainly after the first fiasco of Iraq ... do you think Iranians will do the same mistake .. or Korea ???

And the US just gave Nuclear weapons to India and Pakistan ... so don't talk about non-proliferation, talk about non-proliferation to who today are supposevily the US ennemies ...

The US gave nuclear weapons to India and Pakistan. That is news to me.

A college kid can build a nuclear bomb. The technology is 60 years old. Building it isn't the problem. It's getting the stuff to make it

WebairGerard 01-18-2006 03:40 PM

Enough with the bombing and the wars. Wars almost always lead to more wars in time.
It's time human beings find another way to work out problems. How about that? This means people will have to talk! Use their brains! Find common ground!

Innocent people ALWAYS die when you start dropping bombs. Think before you say bomb the crap out em.

traffic99 01-18-2006 03:46 PM

go thanks the Israelies for taking care of so many shit the muslems bring.
Israel will be the first to join the states against Iran.

But the Iranies are stupids. They can be one of the normal countries but they choose to kill al time.
They mustn't atack Iran, Only replacing the goverment there.

I agree with you though on resources, etc. But that is the challenge isn't it? To be able to use our minds and not our might. It can be done but will anyone try?

Who exactly has the Iranians killed ( aside from Iraqis in 1980 with the blessing of the USA - now the USA is doing the killing themselves ).

What is a normal country? Believe in GOD ? Have Wal-Mart ? live in a bungalow with a flag ?

The Guardian reports that the Pentagon hired two young physicists in 1964 to see if they could reverse-engineer a nuke, using only a library card and notebook. They did.

You know damned fine that you only need a Chevy 1953 truck with the 216 cu.in. babbit bearing type engine, a few kitchen utensils and ya got one unique stealth bomber.

US aims to set aside India reactor controversy

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Bush administration, confronting a potential threat to its 2005 nuclear deal with India, has signaled it will set aside concerns that New Delhi violated a previous agreement with the United States.

It's never been about nuclear weapons or programs .. that is another lie ... It is about controlling the whole middle east with Israel as the sheppard ....

As the USA tried in Central-South America ...
