Domain Name Choice
 

I've had some fun discussions lately with mainmainstream webmasters on domain choice and keyword-relevance. I'd be interested to see the results of a poll among you folks.

Agreed.

Goto to overture is a good example of this.

It depends really. Sometimes I get them based on keywords. Sometimes I want something funny or shocking so it is easy to remember. Sometimes I want simple, to the point domains that describe what the site is.

examples: BangkokStreetWhores.com or HandjobHookers.com

You know EXACTLY what your getting before you even click on it. I like names like this for adult sites.

I'm with this school of thought too. Depends on what I want to do with the site.

www.faptown.com for instance, or www.frenchbuttsex.com :thumbsup

I'd say #3 can be just as brandable as #1.
