Mr Keiser said he did not just want to shut websites and impose fines, saying if authorities can "throw in some jail time I think we'll be a little more effective".

down they go...

The music industry is a bunch of fucking morons.. Instead of taking the internet for what it is.. opportunity.. They fight it every chance they get and lose millions more than if they used their brains and learned how to use the Internet.

Funny, my friend was telling me the other day that his favorite guitar tab site had shut down without notice and he wanted to create his own.

The music industry is retarded and every time they do shit like this I just get more and more tempted to stop paying for music.

download guitarpro and then hop over to http://www.mysongbook.com
it's the best guitar tab program/ site i've ever seen. It's really good.

I am not really a regular visitar of guitar tab sites but I think that thing is just so fucked up.. Music should be shared to everyone.

kacy 01-17-2006 06:50 PM

Hmmm interesting to know. My son uses those sites all the time. Thanx for the link to other option :)

reginaldo 01-17-2006 07:43 PM

Recording industry is a fucking joke.

Project-Shadow 01-17-2006 07:46 PM

Yah I was upset when PowerTabs closed, but MySongBook + Guitar Pro 5 = better anyway.

ppfft music industry , bunch of fuck wits , i don't know how many times i have heard a song getting played on the radio/club/car/where ever , and though shit that sounds alright, so jump on google track down the lyrics find out what song it is then gone out and brought it , and also put in a request to the music director at work to purchase the song

but what is interesting , is that google is soon to launch a lyrics search , seems like the music industry is just clearing the path for google

yup...thats how I do it! :)

Sooo much better than trying to figure out some shitty tabs that doesnt work!... With Guitarpro, you just play it, and you can easily see if the tabs are accurate or not!...

I even tabbed a couple of songs that I am about to submit to mysongbook...(from the new Strokes album)... :thumbsup

bhutocracy 01-18-2006 01:42 AM

That is sooo fucking lame. So many musicians start out by learning tabs.. it's a little short sighted to take this away.. not that it will stem the flow of musicians really.. but record companies rely on them to stay in business.. shouldn't they be making it easier for musicians to learn instruments and study songwriting via tabs? Tab book royalties are obviously higher I guess. anyways.. it's not like theres not going to be a tablature.ru to make up the slack.
