hey anyone made a NY resolution to lose weight?
It's really easy. I've never tried before, because I didn't think I was really that heavy and I carried it kinda ok... but then I must have put on a little in a short period of time and just though "fuck this".. Plus im getting married some time this year and I didn't want to have a tubby face in all the photos so I gave myself 6 months to lose at least 20 pounds.
But i've lost 20+ pounds in just the last month. I wish I had known it was so easy before hand.. and not this long impossible task..anyways.. just thought I'd mention it in case anyone is starting - hang in it's not as tough as you think it will be if you're serious about it and have some willpower. A couple of months will be over before you can blink. :) |
I didn't really take the resolution but since I've stoped eating out (and I was almost never going in fast food ... always good restaurents), I lost nearly 40 pounds.

Good for you. I started my resolution in August. Since then I have dropped just over 85lbs... not bad:-)

So tell me your secrets, how are you losing so much weight?... i really need to lose weight in the past 2 months i've gained a lot...specially when i went to Vegas i came back with 10 pounds extra just from that week. :( |
I've been making changes to lose weight too... I started buying organic and kosher food, quit eating snack foods, eat lots of fruits and veggies, drink LOTS of water, and I'm heading to the gym 3 days a week.
I'm also now able to tell the difference between when my tummy is hungry and when my mouth is just bored and wants some food to taste. |
People are often fooled into thinking that eating out at good restaurants won't make you gain weight. Besides the fact that all the portions are oversized, you also have to realize why everything tastes so good there: it's packed with butter and starch. Look up some recipes for some of your favorite sauces - the amount of butter used is astronomical.

I'm down almost 20 since Thanksgiving through doing nothing much more than eating better.
Once I hit the 25lb loss mark I plan on getting back into running, swimming and biking, train for Triathlons for 2007. |
mine is the exact opposite. I am underweight and my goal this year is to gain a few pounds
