fuzebox 01-16-2006 04:00 PM

I was wondering that today also, no accept or denial emails since last week...

rock-reed 01-16-2006 04:05 PM

Fuzebox----are they at least listing you????

pornguy 01-16-2006 04:06 PM

I know that all of my submissions have been denied lately.

Nom_is 01-16-2006 04:08 PM

Maybe their mail server is down and they're just unaware of it?

Pure speculation.

crockett 01-16-2006 04:10 PM

There have been a few posts about this yesterday as well. I was just about to buy a account with them. Guess I'll hold off until everything is sorted out.

tony286 01-16-2006 04:12 PM

you have to pay to use submit to them right?

Stallion 01-16-2006 04:18 PM

They have some pay and some free accounts

Stallion 01-16-2006 05:09 PM

No accept or denials either on this end.

tony286 01-16-2006 05:51 PM

because to pay and get no response is quiet a fuck job.

Pornwolf 01-16-2006 05:52 PM

You have to know the secret code to type in the page name field. :2 cents:

BumpUglyz 01-16-2006 06:01 PM

I'll pass this on. Im sure galleries ARE being reviewed, but not postive about the emails that go out.

David - RR 01-16-2006 06:32 PM

The email server is working as normal and all emails are still being sent. Unfortunately we can't control the delivery of any email. If you're not receiving the confirmations it's possible your ISP has filtered it.

markyman 01-16-2006 06:46 PM

funny I havnt receive any emails either for about 2 weeks

BumpUglyz 01-16-2006 07:22 PM

Markyman, are any of your galleries getting listed?

rock-reed 01-16-2006 07:28 PM

DAVID-RR...

How could/would .... all of a sudden... the ISP start filtering your emails for not just me, but dozens of Richards paid accounts?

Thanks

markyman 01-16-2006 07:29 PM

yes they are getting listed, but I havnt received an e-mail in weeks....must be a be huge isp filter? Im on bellsouth.net

leg4 01-16-2006 07:30 PM

I am not recieving any emails either DAVID-RR... It's been about 5-6 days...

I've also asked 10+ other webmasters that I know that have paid accounts with you...

And they are also not getting any emails.

Please advise and thanks

Pornwolf 01-16-2006 07:43 PM

I guess you guys thought I was kidding.

BumpUglyz 01-16-2006 07:44 PM

yes, I just approved you Markyman, you too Leg, so As long as your getting listed. I do receive the emails. It would have to be an ISP issue :)

stev0 01-16-2006 08:06 PM

David, i haven't been getting the emails either... you sure the problem isn't on your end? webair hosts my email server and im sure they wouldn't filter RR.

David - RR 01-16-2006 08:54 PM

Considering most people are still receiving the confirmations and everything is being sent out as normal I'd have say that no, the problem isn't on our end.

Email is not infallible, nor does is have anything to do with the review and listing process. It is sent as a courtesy only and is not part of a paid service.

I know it's nice to know if a gallery has been accepted or not, but once it's sent there's nothing more we can do about it and I really can't see the cause for such alarm and panic over it. With the amount of traffic RR sends out it shouldn't be that hard to spot in your stats.

rock-reed 01-16-2006 09:03 PM

Richards-Realm does not send enough traffic for it to wildy stand out when you're looking thru tons of web-logs.

It is very nice to get that email from you guys---so we know what exactly you're looking for...

So we can get more galleries listed with you guys.

THANKS

Pornwolf 01-16-2006 10:48 PM

I'm selling the password for $39. Paypal or Epassporte. Contact me via ICQ.

TheSenator 01-17-2006 12:00 AM

I am also thinking of selling my partner account.

Still alot of people from different ISPs arent getting you emails, i emailed twice in decemeber about turning off rebilling and heard nothing back and was still rebilled.

matt1biz 01-17-2006 04:38 AM

I've stopped getting emails too in the last couple of weeks, the galleries are still being listed though so I'm not overly concerned :)

janosik 01-17-2006 04:55 AM

Same here ... no emails for about a week :(

NickB. 01-17-2006 05:03 AM

RR rocks period, love the emails

HairToStay 01-17-2006 05:25 AM

Last week I received the confirmations but submitted yesterday and no email has come over and nothing is filtered.

However, the gallery is listed.

Exactly!

Guys, his email ARE indeed working I personally get them at home and we get em at the office as well. What some people see to have a hard time understanding is allllllllllooooot of ISP's have been adding filters to their mail servers. We have a ton of problems with them as well, it happens where people buy passes and they never receive our confirmation emails until they contact us and provide us with a different email.

Here in Canada we have Videotron and Bell ISP's, I have used both and both have Spam filters by default. Till last year you could have called them to have it turned off. Today you cant do that anymore, they have to be on.

Another example of where I have seen Spam filters is with one of my hosts, Webair. They have a pretty good Spam filter that blocks most Spam emails, it's great but at the same time it can happen that you miss some emails. In this case it is up to you to have it turned on or off....We have it off.

To make a long story short, please call your service providers and check with them before making accusations.

Ray

I'm not talking a partner account. RR was one of my first places I got signups from back about 5 years ago. I love those guys! :thumbsup

I'm talking about selling the secret code that goes in the page name field. If you don't have that you won't get listed. It's a well kept secret normally only given to people that live in London. ICQ me for the code. $39 Paypal.

fuzebox 01-17-2006 07:59 AM

All my email is delivered to my own servers running a custom email system, if anything was filtered it would have to be me who set it up, and I assure you I didn't.

It's just a little too fishy for so many people to have experienced the same problem at the same time.

It seems some of our mail is not being received. This is not limited to submissions, but to other auto-generated emails as well.

It is not a conspiracy to mislead submitters - far from it. It is more than likely a problem with some ISPs utilising the MAPS RBL or one of the other gazillion mail black lists out there and for some reason one or more of our IP addresses being on it. It is also possible that our server is screwing up and our server admin is already looking into that possibility.

Most emails are being received, since David is still getting questions about rejections, etc.

We appreciate it can be worrisome not to get the emails and inconvenient to have to look through logs to see if galleries have been listed. So, until this problem is solved (and it will probably remain afterwards), Premium Submit Account holders are able to get a list of their submissions from the last two weeks and their status. A link is provided to the page on the Premium Submit main page.

David has spent some time and effort putting together a Knowledge Base with answers to common questions: http://submit.richards-realm.com/kb/ - please make use of this should you have questions about your submissions/rejections.

Of course, we're happy to answer email, but please appreciate we are human :)

Screaming 01-17-2006 08:19 AM

Bump for you, hope it helps..

richrealm 01-17-2006 10:01 AM

It appears our server admin made a mistake when modifying some DNS settings, so I can only assume that email to uncached domain names was not being delivered - this would explain why it was being received by some people. The missing email should still be on our server in the mail queue and is getting sent out as we speak.

Sorry again for the confusion.

leg4 01-17-2006 10:41 AM

Richrealm....

Thanks for looking into this for us....

We were never looking to whine or causes problems...

We just wanted to bring it to your attention so you could fix it.

After talking to 15-20 webmasters and they were not getting emails either...
I knew it wasn't just an email-filter problem.

Thanks!
