Are you a minimalist?

I am. I see perfection in simplicity. No need for fancy "bells and whistles" here.

Theo 01-16-2006 01:53 PM

:thumbsup My place is basically ran by the girlfriend. Otherwise it'd be a couch and a tv in the living room. That's it.

eroswebmaster 01-16-2006 02:07 PM

no..just broke.

but seriously, in the past I was.

My apartment back in Fort Worth in the living room there was a futon, that was where I slept, a tv and recliner.
The bedroom was turned into an office. In that I only had a desk and a file cabinet.
I kept my drawers in the closet so that wasn't even out in the open.

When I moved out here to Vegas, I had a similar set up, but then my sister and her two kids moved in. Anytime you have kids involved LOL forget about minimalism.

OMG Jim 01-16-2006 02:28 PM

Yes I am. I was brought up an Army brat in Germany and my dad was an officer that believed in simplicity and finding the most efficient way to do everything.

Two of his favorite truisms were; Everything has it's place ( And it better have been there when he went to get it "Or Else") and Waste Not, Want Not ...especially when it came to food. I still believe and practice these.

There is definitely Genius in Simplicity and as soon as a person figures out the meaning of that then the little things in life will become much more enjoyable. :pimp

Being minimalist is something I have adopted ever since I was young. I am a very thrifty person up to the bones. I hate spending to much when I can produce something of equal beauty and quality on lesser expenses.

Scrapper 01-16-2006 04:52 PM

I have a rule. If you don't use it in a 6 week period lose it. :2 cents:

Bluewire Ross 01-16-2006 04:59 PM
