Quick photoshop question

I have been searching for this for hours now. :Oh crap

So, after you make a layout » Slice » then you "Save for Web" » and photoshop saves it as a html file.

I was wondering, is it possible to make it both html and CSS? Is their an option built in for this. I remember reading about it but i for got to bookmark the page! Anyone know, please?

I wouldnt use the html from Photoshop. Get the image slices you need, and do the html and css in dreamweaver or your favorite editor.

What MikyMunki said, unless you are doing something really simple.

Whenever i slice » html with photoshop i get this stupid spacer images tagged on at the bottom. Thats what i really want to do, get rid of that thing. If their was an CSS/html option i bet that spacer image will not be there.

You are right!

I make the layout in PS, then do all my slices, rollovers, etc in Fireworks (Macromedia) and then output it for Dreamweaver from the Fireworks menu. (It's setup to communicate with DW right out of the box.) As far as outputting CSS also, I've never tried that. I always do the CSS seperately once I have the layout like I want it.

And as far as the spacer image, unless you are really a hardcore html guy, I don't know a fix for that. They are there because some of the tables in your layout are set to automatically resize or whatever, so the spacer keeps things in place when something else gets out of line I guess you could say. The spacers act sort of like "support braces" for keeping your tables, TDs and TRs all in order...or so I read somewhere years ago...

And as far as that goes, the spacer image is usually 0KB, and the extra 6-7 lines of spacer code don't really slow you up much I wouldn't imagine. I know what it's like to get a wild hair about fixing something though. :)

Ha I didn't even know you could do any of that... shit... here I was creating tables THEN creating graphics to go inside them...

I'm such a noob webmaster :(
