EPASSPORTE: let's say that I use my electron card online...

Let's say I use my epassporte visa electon online and it actually works. Is epassporte going to shut down my account?

why should they?

Jakke PNG 01-15-2006 03:48 PM

ummm?
Why would you use it when you have the virtual card?
lol. Dumb question.

tragedy 01-15-2006 03:51 PM

because the vitrtual card that supposedly is desigined for online shopping, isnt accepted ANYWHERE online it almost always gets declined

Yngwie 01-15-2006 04:01 PM

I've used my epassporte virtual visa at many places and had no problems. I had problems with one place because they said that in order for me to purchase from them with a credit card the card needs to be issued from the same country you live in. Other than that, never had a problem.

Yngwie 01-15-2006 04:10 PM

the actual card (Electron) would not work for online purchases I don't think. I'm prtty sure that this card needs to be swiped in order to work. I could be wrong though, but it makes sense since if it did work online why would epassporte need to have a virtual visa and the electron card?

Glad to hear it. Can anybody answer my question?

You're not trying it with CCBill, Paycom or PayPal are you? It'll get rejected.

It works at everywhere else, Worldpay, 2Checkout, etc.

Geeezer 01-15-2006 04:14 PM

I have used my "Virtual" card for many things online and have not had a single problem.

Project-Shadow 01-15-2006 04:15 PM

I think he means he used the physical card online, rather than the virtual visa?

Alky 01-15-2006 04:18 PM

i tried to use my electron card to get my internext badge in vegas... kept getting declined.

i guess the lady was trying to enter it on the web and use it... pretty stupid it doesn't work.

i just went and pulled some cash off it though, that worked :)

exactly. most places accept the visa electron online now, so I'd like to know if epassporte has some sort of policy against using it online.

The *virtual* works at those places. Not the electron.

Doctor Dre 01-15-2006 04:26 PM

I don't think it would work... the visa electron is a peice of shit in canada... 1/2 of the time I get declined at the bank machine... I never try in stores / restaurents anymore in case it gets declined.

Only place it always works for me is Desjardins.

The online visa virtual thought works fine most of the time.

pornguy 01-15-2006 04:27 PM

I have used the virtual card many many times, and never had an issue.

Ok......I'm talking about the physical card here, not the virtual card. What i'm trying to say is that most places ONLINE accept the physical card now. Not just the virtual.

Chris from epassporte has been vauge about this issue in the past saying the physical card doesn't work online. Now in 2006, it works. So if it works now, can we use it online, or do we run the risk of losing our accounts? I don't want to violate the TOS.

The physical card shouldn't work online.
If you have succeded in using it online please mail me your account name so the techs can look into why the transaction went thru.
I promise you that your account won't be affected in any way by this.

As for using it online I will check into it.

It probably can't be done since its a debit card and not a real credit card.

dtoolbox 01-16-2006 04:58 AM

if i'm not mistaken moneybookers also accepts debit card.
