HAHA, now that was a good one. Most attempts at humor here are not funny, but that one made me chuckle.

problem is that getting paid has hardly anything to do with signing up... they put it on a credit card, and probably pay it off over the next 5 years...

Many sponsors either do not use cookies (for the purpose of crediting affiliates that is) at all or have very short lived ones. I know only one sponsor that gives credit for typeins.

Once the surfer joins / rejoins from a typein (and many do), you lose. That's how sponsors make the big money.

Many programs take branding (domain, name,etc..) a whole step further which will increase their results and screw affiliates at the end of the day ;)
