George Foreman Grill - Got One?

Just wondered if any of you guys enjoy your GF Grill as much as I enjoy mine :winkwink:

I just replaced mine with the new one that has the lift-out grill plates. So much easier to clean now :thumbsup

Stallion 01-14-2006 02:39 PM

I had one but never used it. Sold it in a yard sale.. lmao

I have a grill out on my patio that I use occasionally but I use my GF grill quite a bit. Mostly chicken breasts, steaks and burgers :thumbsup

$5 submissions 01-14-2006 02:42 PM

Yep. Won mine from ARS' Rewards Program 5 years ago (2001).

Papi Chulo 01-14-2006 02:42 PM

That grill still around?

I don't see George promoting it anymore? Nor do I see him promoting that muffler company anymore either.

George was a great boxer, who would have thought he would be an even better promoter!!

Stallion 01-14-2006 02:43 PM

Yeah I use my Weber grill all the time.

Sosa 01-14-2006 03:01 PM

I like mine, would like the new one you can take the things out and wash though.

uno 01-14-2006 03:02 PM

Me and my gf use ours all the time.

TurboAngel 01-14-2006 03:05 PM

Another question Dean: when i see pics of you with your cam theres an antenna like devide on top of it: what is this?

I assume it for remote coordinated flash or something?

sfera 01-14-2006 03:35 PM

yea i have one, its great, i luv it :)

Matt 26z 01-14-2006 04:35 PM

How do the hamburgers taste on it compared to a regular grill?

Peaches 01-14-2006 04:39 PM

I hated mine. Gave it to the charity place down the road. I'd rather cook on the charcoal grill in the cold and rain - just tastes SO much better :(

tony286 01-14-2006 04:40 PM

I had one of the old ones it was a pain in the ass to clean

I've had a few of the Grill's but I just bought a "Baby George" Rotisserie oven.. The thing kicks ass with chicken and so on.. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...lance&n=284507

woj 01-14-2006 04:50 PM

It's actually pretty good, use it all the time...

xclusive 01-14-2006 04:54 PM

I might get one of the new ones

Elli 01-14-2006 04:57 PM

Use the bf's all the time, but it's a mini. I got the big Hamilton Beach one with the removable plates with my airmiles. :) Love it to bits!

swoop 01-14-2006 05:00 PM

the george foreman grill reminds me of The Office episode from this past Thursday

pocketkangaroo 01-14-2006 05:01 PM

It is one of the greatest inventions of all time. For any single guy who can't cook worth shit, it is a must.

ThumbLord 01-14-2006 05:02 PM

I am planning to build a serious "skotel" or "braai" in my garden this year.
I am South African so ........... I cannot do without a BBQ.
My parents left SA when I was 1 year old so maybe this is just an idea ......... or maybe ..............

~Ray 01-14-2006 05:51 PM

I prefer a Weber

BlueDesignStudios 01-14-2006 06:07 PM

george made so much money with those.. I read he sold 80 million worldwide.. if he made a few bucks from each one... that's a lotta money

bjjb 01-14-2006 06:10 PM

I had one of the small 0nes for about 3 years. I used it so much I wore all of the non-stick surface off it lol Threw it away last summer and havent replaced it yet. If and when I do ill get one of the ones with removable plates

The Captain 01-14-2006 06:12 PM

Only way I know how to cook! love the george

bjjb 01-14-2006 06:13 PM

I saw an interview with Ron Popeil in FHM magazine a few months ago. He said he got offered the grill before they offered it to George Foreman. He turned them down for some reason. Said he didnt regret it at all. He said hes got close to 100 mill in the bank already

InGayPorn 01-14-2006 06:26 PM

I have one...use it almost every night. Its not nearly as good as a gas grill, but much better than a broiler. You have to be real careful with cooking times or it will dry things out. I can't imagine having one without the detachable grills...that would be a pain in the ass to clean!

Just set it and Forget it :1orglaugh

I think I would be dead with out myGF its got to be the best buy I ever made!

candyflip 01-15-2006 10:50 AM

I only cook chicken on it.

Saw someone here the other day say there were going to cook up some steaks on it.

What a waste of good red meat.

BlackCrayon 01-15-2006 10:52 AM

i used to use it to cook burgers and hotdogs. the hotdogs were fine but it i never cared for the taste it gave the burgers. no comparison to the bbq.

WpC 01-15-2006 10:53 AM

sure ... but used it only 1 time.

Monique Niccole 01-15-2006 10:55 AM

I have one and use it a lot less than I would if I had the new easy to clean model

HushMoney 01-15-2006 10:57 AM

I've had one for about a year now. Use it to cook everything I used to pan fry. The grill is great.

FrankWhite 01-15-2006 11:01 AM

get USB one

Mr Dickovitch 01-15-2006 11:04 AM

I use mine every morning for bacon. I put some bacon on every night before I go to sleep, then I wake up around 6AM and plug in the grill and go back to sleep. A few minutes later I wake up to the smell of cooking bacon, it's good for you!

But a few days ago I got up and I was tired and I accidentally stepped on the grill and it slammed shut on my foot.
:(

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 01-15-2006 11:05 AM

Being a Mac-head, I bought the iGrill:

Using lines from TV shows as your own on a message board is totally hawt!

I use my for cooking steaks - never had a problem? What kind of problem have you had cooking steaks on yours?

MandyBlake 01-15-2006 12:41 PM

we used to have one a few years back but it got to be a pain in the ass to clean. i wish they had the new plates way back then.
now we have our own huge gas grill that we can use. :)

amandaspost 01-15-2006 02:08 PM

I still have mine, dont really use it that much anymore.

DeanCapture 01-15-2006 02:12 PM

Shit - just grilled up some chicken breasts on mine. Yumm Yumm :winkwink:

Peaches 01-15-2006 02:18 PM

Argh, you guys with your GF grills and gas grills are SO missing out on good food. Get yourself a nice Weber, some hardwood charcoal (not the crap from the grocery store) and you'll thank me :)

Pornwolf 01-15-2006 02:19 PM

I did 6 chicken beasts today. Absolutely perfect. Conbined with some black beans and yellow rice with sauteed spinach cuban style.

Ricky Ricardo would be proud.
