Cancelling AOL Membership - Got an Hour ?
 

Anyone else here recently try the free trial to use TCP/IP - Their cancellation process makes us pornographers look like friggin saints !!

agreed, i had a client with 12 AOL accounts because "that's the only way we knew how to get an email address". It wasn't a pretty task.

I quit using them years ago, because they make up thier TOS as they go along, They bug the shit out of with spam, they spam the chat rooms, and they make it hell to cancel.

I've been trying to get my parents to cancel for years... they can't get broadband out where they live but paying $24.95 for that garbage is a waste of money.

Tell them to call and cancel, they will offer you a free extension.. when you call back 2-3 months later ... they will give you another free extension .. Repeate the process, I have had this AOL membership for like a year now and didn't pay a penny - I never used the thing either though ..

Again, today he tried to offer me another 3 months free ... They will pry offer you free life time extensions ...

If people knew how dishonest and corrupt the AOL employees are, that handle and look over billing info, no one would use AOL.

My last conversation with AOL was shit. I asked the guy to cancel my account over 15 times but he just kept on talking. A big fuck you to AOL.

They just go on, and on, and on ....

Someone needs to make a prank call and record it on their computer :1orglaugh

they've already been fined for these practices before i believe.
