F-15's A terrifying Experience

As most of you know, the space shuttle at kennedy space coast finally went up yesterday. Well some poor idiot in a small plane violated the air space, which is a major fucking no no. Needless to say they sent F-15's to "escort" him down. Well at the time I had forgotten about the launch, note, I live 18 miles from it. All of the sudden F-15's were darkening the sky above me. I was terrifed and thought "Holy Shit" Its on right above my HOUSE! LOL Can you imagine how that "idiot" must of felt? If he even felt half the terror I did, he probably had to change his "undies" upon landing. I have never seen F-15's in action, and I believe that one time experience was enough for a life time.

But I wll add this: To our Guys in the Military, You guys fucking ROCK :thumbsup

That dopey pilot is going to be paying some serious fucking bills.

HAHAHA damn good story! I can imagine what the hell you were thinking......just remember this the sound of those F-15 engines was the sound of freedom. I got to fly F-16's a few times when i was in the AirForce, which is sort of a slimmed down F-15, has one engine instead of 2 and is more manueverable. That was by far the best experiance of my life....going Mach 2(roughly 1,483mph) ,500 feet above the ground in Utah was pretty much better than sex! Also we used to go to vegas 5 times a year for "training" and got to watch F-15 take off , standing right on the run way - that shit damn near knocked me off my feet!

Nothing like flying formation with you in your Cessna 172 and 2 $40MM warbirds at each wing tip.

Anyone watching American Fighter Pilot on Friday nights?

Damn that's a good show!

FLMAO

He probably felt pretty special. lol

I live right next to an Air Force Base and they are always sounding alarms and different things. I think it's world war 3 at least once a week.

You know, after I got my bearings back, that is the thought I had, it was so cool, to know they are up there protecting America!
I just had no clue as to what was going on at the time, I probably looked like a paranoid schiz for a minute:Hollering

I worked on F-15's in the Air Force and can attest to how loud they are. You have never heard or felt anything so raw as when you are standing 2 feet away from one of them with the engines rumbling. When the ground was wet and the engines were running the power of the intakes was so strong that it would create little tornadoes right in front of them.
Even better was sitting inside one while in afterburner :thumbsup Rattles your teeth and shakes your bones!
I'll never forget those experiences :)
or the smell.. JP3 jet fuel stinks!

Hot Tropical Babes 04-09-2002 11:12 PM

anyone wanna help me build a underground bunker? Geeeez can u imagine what the civilians that have war break out right in their back yards feel? I would have a constant bladder problem.

VeNoM 04-09-2002 11:20 PM

Zebra we should shoot the shit sometime - im gonna try to dig up some pics to show you all from my some of my F-16 rides...

now the most impressive thing i ever saw was 4 B-1's take off together while i was in the tower - talk about unbelievable...when they pulled up to lift off there were red hot chunks of the runway blowing off behind them...

This reminds me of a story I heard a few years ago. It came from a British tabloid so no idea if it's true or not...

Some British traffic cops had a radar speed trap on a busy main road close to a USAF base in England. Normal day, lots of people ignoring the speed limits. One of the cops points the radar detector at a car coming of the brow of a hill and is amazed when the readout displays over 600mph. A second later two F-15's pass over their heads, and the cops laugh it off.

The next day the local police get a call from the USAF base saying they were lucky the F-15's were unarmed - apparently the radar detector that had locked on to one of the F-15's had registered as an enemy radar silo, and the F-15's automatic defence system had tried to fire a missile to destroy it...

Like I said, this came from a British tabloid...

volante - Some British Tabloid writer was smoking some crack..
F-15's are advanced but they don't have automatic defense systems and I really doubt they would have any weapons armed over British soil.
Now if they had said the Millennium Falcon I might have believed it.. remember that automatic gun that would pop down and blow away any poor stormtrooper who got too close? Poor bastards, they never had a chance..

Item in Berwickshire Gazette:

A report has revealed that two traffic patrol officers from North Berwickshire were involved in an unusual incident whilst checking for speeding motorists on the A1 road between Oldhamstocks and Ranthouse.

Last may, they were using a hand held radar device to trap unwary motorists on the Edinburgh to London trunk road. One of the unnamed officers used the device to check the speed of an approaching vehicle and was surprised to find his target had registered a speed in excess of 300 miles per hour.

The £5000 machine then seized up and could not be reset by the bemused officers. The radar had in fact latched onto a NATO Tornado aircraft in the North Sea, which was taking part in a low flying exercise over the Borders and Southern Scotland. Following a complaint by Sir William Sutherland, Chief Constable of the Lothian & Borders Police force to the R.A.F liaison office, it was revealed that the officers had a lucky escape-the tactical computer on board the aircraft not only detected and jammed the 'hostile' radar equipment, but had automatically armed a Sidewinder air-to-ground missile ready to neutralise the perceived threat.

Luckily the Dutch pilot was alerted to the missile status and was able to override the automatic protection system before the missile launched.

The police have so far declined to comment, although it is understood that officers will be advised to point radar guns inland in future.

Your F-15's might not auto-arm - but the ancient Tornado certainly does

You call that an experience.

We have a summer house near a millitary zone. and once every year they have war games going on with real ammo.
I go down to the beach and watch. 5 6 battle ships 2 3 submarines commandos just 500 feet away in postion. 18 chopers flying in formation over your head, F16 s flying really low. a few F19s . You should hear those bombs when they drop. literally the dust and debree falls over your head.
Not to mention the night missions. The sky just lights up. and not any thunder can make such a noise.

Im planing to watch again this year.

Have been flying all my life. 4 5 times a year. but since 5 years everytime I get on a plane I go crazy.
Have to :glugglug drink up all the time.
But i dont want to die drunk. :(

Hot Tropical Babes 04-10-2002 01:26 AM

I fly too, But Trust me on this,, there is a big major fucking difference between a plane and a F-15

timethief 04-10-2002 01:31 AM

As much as i fear it I definately want to fly in one someday.
a jet fighter at supersonic speed.
The millitary had a something like a conference a few years back, and they said that they will fly a few of the reporters. a few guys and a LADY!. hehe. she puked all over the F16.
one of the reporters said that the pilot was kind enough to let him hold the stick for a while.
Ouch. now thats a rush.

I've been to a place where they make engines for F-15s and F-16s - Pratt&Whitney plant. Seen the engines in the testing chabmer etc - holy shit, it was awesome. The things are HUGE and roar like one bad mofo.
