Need help with .wmv auto url
 

I need to know how some of the vids automatically launch a url at the end of the videos. Anyone know how this is done?

I know at least one sponsor knows how to do this. :winkwink:

You need to add a "Script" to it. Basically the script consists of a url to launch and a timestamp. Do google for windows media player sdk.

That's the old school way to do it and is disabled in the newer versions of WMP. Maybe there's a magical new way but I know Microsoft got so much shit for it the first go-around that they were trying to remove the feature.

Well it only works if its embedded in a page. If you open the vid in media player itself it doesnt do it. Ill do a search and see if I can find it. I know they used to do it all the time in videos you would download from kazza etc. Thanks for the help! :thumbsup Oh Im running windows media player 10, and it still does it when its embedded, so maybe it still works, or there is a new version of it.

Yes it does. I had a vid on my site that was embedded, and it does work. I didnt do the vid though, but I know who did it. Trying to get ahold of him.

It will do a get url only if its embedded. In the stand alone player it doesnt do it. And I'm using version 10.00.00.3802 of windows media player 10. So ya it can be done.

Learn to use GFY search or Google.
By default scripting is disabled on WMP version 10.

Wow smarty, would you like to see it work? Cause Ive had 5 people try it, and it works. I didnt make the .wmv someone else did. At the end of the video it auto opens the site in the same window its embedded.
