Holy shit I just saw a thing about Bob Guccione on TV. He is big bling like Larry and Hugh for real! This guy has a jewel encrusted pool, Picasso paintings (and I mean paintings with an S, as in more than just a few!) and if you can believe this "sculptures that pre-date Christ"!. Their words on the show I was watching, not mine. They just showed the pictures, FUCKING BREATHTAKING.

Although there was news he might have it foreclosed on his ass a few years ago, apparently he got to hang on to it through some deal. I researched that he had to use it as collateral on his f real-estate loan creditors . Not really sure how. None of my business anyway. But DAMN that house was BLING BLING!!! Holy shit

Anyway, is that why no one talks about him? Cuz he had troubles? He was one of the innovators right along with Hef and Larry, but I guess he kept a low profile :2 cents:

All that shit got repo'd because he couldn't pay on the loans and he's living a few thousand per month.

Seriously? It said he got to keep the mansion but it had a lienholder on it. Is it gone now? Man, that's got to hurt. That house was absolutely gorgeous.

Didn't he let his cronies run it and they drilled it into the ground? Someone got that article that was just posted like 2 weeks ago?

He was big, certainly the 3rd most known adult publisher in his day, but a lot lower profile than Hefner, and from my recollection Flynt. (I'd guess Penthouse's circulation exceeded Hustler's, I'm just talking about the profile of the publishers). Hefner and Flynt both promoted themselves as a way of promoting their magazines, and in Hefner's case his brand (Playboy Clubs, etc.), while Guccioni was far less visible. Hefner would get regular tabloid coverage just as a general celebrity, and Flynt would do/say controversial things to get in the news regularly. In fact they still do, just with less intensity/frequency as in their heyday.

Uma Thurman just bought his estate in upstate (suburban) New York.

His Mansion in NYC is one of the largest private residences in the city. It has the largest residential indoor pool. I was there a few years ago. It has a fucking ballroom inside of it! If you've ever been to New York, you know how amazing it is to have a pool, and a ballroom in your house in the middle of the city. It was listed for $27 million at that time. I'm sure it's closer to $35 million now.

But, I think he has to get out in the next month or two. It's a sad situation.
