2006 The year of the comeback, my New Years Resolution

My New Year's resolution is to make amends, and earn your trust back.

2005 was a very tough year for me personally as well as business wise.

It was the year I had to shut my business down, and the year I went from being the employer to the employee.

I spent most of the year angry, and bitter. Some of my reasons were justified, but how I responded certainly was not.

I am not trying to explain away some of my actions, but hoping that it will give you a clearer insight to where my head was.

Some people recall I lost my mother a few years back to suicide. I have carried a lot of guilt around for the past 2 1/2 years.

You see, I left Fort Worth , Texas *upon lawyers advice* for Vegas to start some paysites with the partner I had then.
We were going to be shooting our own content and it was suggested Fort Worth was not the place to do that.

When I arrived in Vegas we lost our focus, and we spent that time developing Diabolical Galleries, something I could have done from Texas.

I left my mother during a time when she was vulnerable physically. There was family down there at the time, but I knew my leaving hit her hard psychologically.
Anyway to make a long story short, nothing I have done out here in Vegas could not have been done back in Texas, so when my business fell apart it hit me especially hard.

I not only felt like a failure, but I felt like a failure who had left his mother behind when she needed him most and had nothing to show for it, I had done nothing that would have made her proud.

Regardless, these are my own personal issues and should have not trickled over into my business life.

So with that being said, my New Year's Resolution is to hopefully make amends with those I have hurt or offended.

I would like to begin with a public apology.

First to a few people I attacked personally, I know these are just words, but I am truly sorry please accept my most humble apologies.

If there is anybody I have left out it's not intentional, I'm trying to remember everyone I might have offended over the last year.

There are others who feel I have let them down and some who I actually did let down, they know who they are and they will be taken care of, it may take some time only because I am having to make up for a lot of lost time now.

All in all, those who have worked with me over the years, and those who have done business with me over the years I would hope that you have come to know who the real eros/ Cary is and if I have offended you in anyway intentionally or unintentionally or you feel I have let you down I hope you too can forgive me.

I would hope that anyone on this board that has had dealings with me over the years whether it's personal or business would remember the nice guy that they all welcomed into their lives, and forget the bitter asshole that showed up at GFY's door last year.

I don't expect forgiveness, that option is left up to you all. But it won't stop me from trying to win your hearts again.

Once again, I am sorry.

Cary

Going through my ICQ list I would like to include WarChild in there as well...my apologies.

chadglni 01-10-2006 07:36 PM

Here's to a great year. You can still call me names if you want, I'm not easily offended. :upsidedow

Bluewire Ross 01-10-2006 07:37 PM

a good way to start a year...it's never too late to change.

quiet 01-10-2006 07:37 PM

my new years rezo: snowboard more powder, spend less time on gfy.

WarChild 01-10-2006 07:39 PM

I thought we already settled any beef we were having? Water under the bridge Eros. Good luck going forward.

Well I'm just trying to make it public since my assholeishness was made public.

Thanks man, good luck to you too.

TondaB 01-10-2006 07:41 PM

Wow, I was not expecting you to ICQ me a link to a thread and then to find a thread of this nature. Many people have wronged or have been wronged at some point in their life. Either way, it takes alot to be the bigger man and begin to restore the trust and relationships that may have fallen.

Kudos to you my friend, I am glad the Eros I have loved for years is back and I look forward to building on our relationship both business and personal.

chadglni 01-10-2006 07:42 PM

You are a top notch stand up guy. ;)

Thank you Tonda for being there, and keeping me in check in the past.

Too bad I just didn't listen a bit more closely.

I don't know you at all....but I have to say that what you've just done is pure class.

Suicide is so hard to deal with....compound that with personal shit and life doesn't seem very sweet...

Best of fortune to you.

reed_4 01-10-2006 11:13 PM

With that kind of attitude I'm sure you will have a good year in 2006.

SykkBoy 01-11-2006 12:34 AM

You've always been a good friend and I look forward to seeing what you come up with in 2006 and of course I had a small sneak peek at one thing and can't wait to see that come to fruition.

We need another roadtrip sometime...

I appreciate that Lance, thanks for being there man.

Maybe we should do a Tijauna thing with Zoe. Kidnap her for a weekend, drag her down there and make her watch us try to seduce hot young San Diego chicks *basically making fools of ourselves.*

je_rome 01-11-2006 02:16 AM

every new year is an oppurtunity for us to start afresh, do things the right way basing on the lessons we've learned mostly the hard way.

Vitasoy 01-11-2006 02:21 AM

Heres to a even better fresh new year :drinkup

Please take pics, I need entertainment of you and Lance trying to seduce chicks. Please oh please.

Eros - it's good to see you gaining perspective bro - I empathize a lot with your paradigm shift.

Just know that when it seems rediculous and cheesy, it's best to do it anyway. :upsidedow

actually, I'm thinking full HD video...

nothing like trying to get a TJ hooker to put on a set of devil horns and a nun's habit and...er, I've already said too much...

wyldblyss 01-11-2006 11:39 AM

I'm sure that was not an easy post to make. We have all done things we regret. Move forward, learn from your mistakes and be the person you want to be. Here is hoping you have a great 2006.

Honestly, it wasn't easy, but it was something that had to be done.

Some of this crap that I've been involved with *board drama etc* and I don't mean bullshit board drama, I mean things that I know hurt friends was really weighing on my soul for quite some time.

Anthony 01-11-2006 10:43 PM

Good luck with the New Year, water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned.

Ogix 01-11-2006 11:26 PM
