It's hard to improve on the original in most cases. I hope that they don't ruin the glory of the orginal movie with a crappy follow-up.

The worst thing that happened to the View Askew universe was Jay and Bob Strikes back. It was a gift to the fans but the gross out level attracted too many people that never saw - let alone appreciated - Clerks. That is fine but it is annoying for people who have loved it for years.

I'm not very fan girl about many things but Kevin Smith is one of the things I am most certainly fan girlish about. Hence, my little journey to Red Bank last time I was home. Somehow fullfilling even if you generally know how sad it would appear.

When I went to an 'Evening with' Kevin did in London last year he was saying that Mewes had cleaned up (at that time anyway) but was now hanging around with Jack Osbourne's crowd where they were all doing cases of Red Bull a day. At that level of consumption they are just druggies of a different description.

One thing I did learn was that Mewes was born addicted to heroine which explains a good deal.

haha...you're hilarious. Unless you are talking about Kevin Smith himself, all of Hollywood hates Kevin Smith and wouldnt produce his movies, because they dont make any money. I was a huge Kevin Smith fan after Clerks and Mallrats...great fuckin movies, but everything he's done after that is pure shit. Then in all his interviews, he bashes REAL directors like Tim Burton and PT Anderson...whats up that shit? Although I really hope its good....I'm sure this film will suck just as bad as the rest of them. :2 cents:

I saw the documentary of the tour they did through the US and they said the same thing about Mewes cleaning up, but you can clearly see in that pic he is not healthy...it may not be drugs, but like I said he is clearly not healthy.\

It's not just his jawline, but his cheeks and eyes.

Yeah it is sad, I was really surprised to hear such praises coming from kevin when discussing Jason's dedication to the work. So much so where he not only had his own lines memorized but the lines of others as well...LOL.

Yup, I remember that bit on the DVD. He also told us about how his wife said she would kill Kevin if Jason stayed at their place one more night because he was doing deals at their place, etc.

I hope it doesn't yurn out as another lame sequel.
