Depends if you can drive traffic to it. All forums are hard to start.

I have two of them and believe me, they take a lot of effort to start. They aren't worth it unless you plan to invest two years of work into it.

I've got quite a big one as well but in the beginning it was a real pain in the ass, it runs all by itself now though :)
