They're basically a rollcage on wheels. I've heard they hold up remarkably well in crashes...that's the first time I've seen one in a high speed impact.

That was shown a few years ago on the British program "Fifth Gear" - they said that despite the lack of major damage to the passenger cell, any occupants would still have been killed due to the massive deceleration...

I wonder if the roadster is that safe... having no top and all.
