Just need a nightly backup of MySQL databases sized a few gigs.

If you can do it through ftp, we can do it for as low as $27 a year.

We will also back up the back up daily.

u could back it up locally, using rsync.. have a script that dumps the db every X amount you want, bzip it, and ftp or rsync it to a local machine.. I have some scripts if you want to do it your self.

Yeah I know, but I only have one server (that includes the MySQL server) and my home computer is not on 24/7, neither am I home very often. I could just get a small shared hosting account but I'm a bit lazy you know ;-)

offsite data backup would probably be your best solution you can access it from anywhere... normally your given an encryption key that only you have so only you can access your stored data, and it's available to you from anywhere in the world its just a matter of a few mouse clicks and you could restore your entire DB.
