Why am I the only one who enjoyed Internext 2006 in Vegas?

Well, I will tell you why...

#1, The majority of you looked like college kids in Laughlin during Labor Day weekend back in 1995... Looking for the next party to go too, to party... Mean while, I am looking for people to meet and do BUSINESS with... Picking smaller parties where I actually found the person I needed to meet up with and we both weren't hammered out of our minds...

#2, I slept... I drank water... Lots of it...

#3, Work is work, and tail is tail... get a fucking clue losers...

#4, I talked to everyone you wouldn't give the time of day to. I got a different perspective on things...

I think 2006 will be a great year for the majority of us... I just hope a lot of you pull your head out of your asses or come down off of your pedestals and realize that no matter how much traffic and money you have, you are not god and for the first time ever I have to agree, this mafia and mob talk is amusing, but bullshit...

baddog 01-09-2006 02:39 AM

I had a great time, and got some fantastic business done.
Was good meeting you too

bangman 01-09-2006 02:50 AM

Internext was a huge success for me.
The booth worked out great and I was able to set up quite a few killer deals for '06 there.
I didn't go for the parties, but I did have a chance to take a few clients and partners out for drinks, which worked out very good.

phonesex 01-09-2006 02:53 AM

glad to see some people actually got business done.

PrintAdult 01-09-2006 03:29 AM

We accomplished alot and the trip in all was a success. I can't wait to get back home though.

pornguy 01-09-2006 03:37 AM

I have not been in a few years, because of all the bullshit. The one time that I did go, most of the people were so stoned, or drunk, that they could not remember that they had just stumbled by and given you a card saying Call me. we can do Lunch, and get some biz going.

Only thing was, that the idiots could not remember that I lived 2k miles away.

GTS Mark 01-09-2006 03:52 AM

We got a ton of business done and partied our fucking asses off! It was a great show, however AVN has to really get their act together when it comes to the tradeshow floor. It was really slow and only about 50-60% of the amount of booths of previous years.

To everyone who wants to try their hand at SEO... You need www.gotwebhost.com on your side. If all you want to do is dable and possibly even make some nice cash, they have affordable rates, a fast setup time, an honest crew and a great tech. I enjoyed dropping your hosting solution to anyone that would listen. Thanks for making it possible for me to make a 4800% on my investment and I know I will definately do better in 2006.

#1 I was stoned...
#2 I was drunk...
#3 I remembered everything and will be contacting everyone shortly
#4 I talked to everyone once...
#5 I live in LA...

Sorry you had some bad experiences... I did last time and it is why I stayed away from the larger parties...

THANKS to everyone who put on the Amateur Bash.... It was a pleasure meeting all of the solo-girl sponsors in person. While I have done business (not affiliate sales, I know the definition of Business) with a lot of you, it was good puting a face to the nickname (or learning your real name for that matter).

MikeHawk 01-09-2006 09:01 AM

I agree 100%

Pussies stop cryin and whinning about crowds...

Smashbucks came to the show ready to do biz, and it was one of our biggest brightest years ever.....

I walked over into the AVN show and made some of the biggest content deals in the history of our biz....

It was Las Vegas, crowded amazing and in full gear... maybe not for some, but for us rocked so hard.

AVN awards show was something i had never ever seen in my life.. that was amazing.

:thumbsup

xtc-studios 01-09-2006 09:12 AM

Damn, now that is a great testimonial. :thumbsup

I may have some really good news for our present and future clients later this week if everything goes as planned.

I was looking for u but never found u

The show was great for business. I met up with a lot of people from here as well.

I'm not big on the parties thrown by sponsors. Since I rarely ever vacation on my own, these shows are both work and play for me, but the play comes only after and secondary to getting business done.

The show was slow for webmaster traffic, but I don't typically work with webmasters I work with other program managers and those who can get things to happen very quickly. That said, i did meet a lot of my partners and a lot of the webmasters that I do work with and I can say that I was pleased to hear about the feedback about our program and it's reassuring to know that people are always happy to come to our program after promoting other dating sites.

I enjoyed Internext, got lots of BIZZ done and had a friggin blast! :thumbsup

Nifield 01-09-2006 10:46 AM

i had a great show and did lots of business as well as partied hard, was definately a great time, but i do have to agree the show floor was very sparse this year, but im sure this had to do with all the other shows going on as people wanted to check them out as well.

huey 01-09-2006 10:48 AM

This show was great for my partners. I did not attend but my partners got business done and had a good time.

OMG Jim 01-09-2006 10:52 AM

INTERNEXT 2006 WAS AWESOME 4 BUSINESS !!!

I arrived in Las Vegas Thursday morning with all the pre-conceived ideas that everyone had put in my head but was totally surprised by the number of people that I was able to meet and talk business with.

Listening to the old pros here on GFY made my trip not only successful from the business perspective but helped me be able to set MY schedule of who I wanted to meet and where I wanted to party. I met EVERYONE on my list I wanted to meet plus some. Fifteen contacts in sixty hours with plenty of time to do it all!

GREAT SHOW and I can't wait til the next one! :thumbsup

EroticySteve 01-09-2006 10:56 AM

Great meeting you there Jim!

Yup. This was by far our most productive show ever. We arrived 2 days early with key meetings arranged. Rather than attend a bunch of the parties this year we did our business and held our meetings over dinner and a show as well as at our own, suite party.

I for one was thankful for the whole "convergence" idea. We did a shitload of biz with the movie companies which will allow us to add some exciting new features to our sites as well as diversify our companies business lines

My wife flew in Friday so it increased my odds of getting laid by about 2000%. While I can drink like a fish, I don't go to Vegas to party - I can do that at home locally.

I had a blast. It was nice meeting you. Well, now you got your shots of Jager. I hope your happy.

Well said DH - that's exactly my perspective from the show :upsidedow

Alky 01-09-2006 03:57 PM

the show didn't compare to previous years... period. it has nothing to do with partying or whatever else.

It was a pleasure meeting you at the poker tables... Definately going to look into switching some of my SEO stuff over to your program and see how it does. If it does well I will post here about it.

uno 01-09-2006 04:01 PM

Internext was great except for the show floor. I didn't get much "small business" done, but helped get the wheels in motion for a few very large deals which made it all worthwhile.

Glad things worked out for you. I guess a lot of people think they will just show up and things will randomly start happing for them in a very direct way? You took the right approach. First, arrive early. Aclimate yourself to Vegas. Eat good, drink good (water and juices), sleep good. Then do business with people you scheduled to meet with BEFORE you got there. A solid and common sense way of doing business!

Cory W 01-09-2006 04:26 PM

John and I got a lot accomplished. I would label it extremely productive. We took current clients out and made new ones.

I know we both ended up out all night, but I was up no later than 11am every morning back on the show floor(s).

Glad you had a nice time.

innocentisabelle 01-09-2006 04:28 PM

i had an awesome time first time to Vegas second convention for me got to see all the familar faces and meet new ones

Things never just happened, I load my cell phone down before I go to a show. I call people and make things happen.

I missed a few people there, but that always happens.

I also try to find people at random that I know, but have never met, and go out with them and a group for the night.

Exactly... hhehe...
nope..

Not exactly.. I started out negatively about the negative vibe people were giving...

But all in all, I am glad a lot of people saw through the bullshit...

Perhaps Internext needs to be just what it is... A place were business people conduct business and groupies looking to get in the business stay groupies...

I don't think it was Internext that changed, I think it was just the people them selves... I did great business. I hooked up with great past, present and future clients in each different niche of the adult business that I work in.

If you didn't, there are plenty of replies in this thread to help you.

#1 Pay to play. Get a laptop or some other form of internet ready appliance.
#2 Get contact info BEFORE you leave... Many programs, programmers and contant providers have their cell phone numbers ON THEIR CONTACT PAGES...
#3 Schedule meetings before you leave! Two people companies that wanted to do business with me didn't end up hooking up with me because they didn't have access to the parties I was going to (to meet other clients) and because they waited until the last day to contact me. Had they set something up before hand, we would have been doing business on the 4th.
#4 Bring an extra cell phone battery and a docking charger...
#5 Talk to everyone you can... Information is golden.
