I'm guessing this is unlocking the simlock? A simlock is a lock that only allows you to use one provider, the provider you bought the phone off.

moto can not be unlocked by codes, you have to bring it to shop or your network provider.

Or just go to a local store that provides your service and tell them you want it unlocked because you are going over seas and want to use a local sim card provider there and let them unlock it for you for free. You own the phone so they will unlock it. If they balk just complain for a bit. Poof, free.

sometimes they charge you 15 quid, if you bother to discus this with them, then you can ignor this remote unlocking offer.
