How much do you have to make a day to consider yourself a successfull webmaster?

Just wondering when I can start thinking im in the upperclass!
$100 a day
$500 a day
$1000 a day
when can I start patting myself on the back?

chadglni 01-07-2006 04:12 PM

woj 01-07-2006 04:15 PM

I began to feel successful when I hit $5k/day mark, but like chadglni said, each person is different....

Jace 01-07-2006 04:18 PM

to me it is at least $133 a day, that is about $4000 a month...that allows me to live the life I want to live, and that is all i really care about....right now luckily i make more than that, but if I got down to that i would work my ass off to get there and stay consistant there

when you can pay for all your bills and food and housing and have a little left over every month you are doing fine

cool1 01-07-2006 04:27 PM

Anything over a $100 a day is fine for most folks, its too bad there are so many in the biz that don't even make close to that.

dissipate 01-07-2006 04:38 PM

$175/day is what makes me happy... not a bad wage if you're still a college student :thumbsup

BV 01-07-2006 05:03 PM

successful is when you keep making more each day than you did the day before

Deputy Chief Command 01-07-2006 05:04 PM

to me it is at least $10k a month or $333 per day

MikeSmoke 01-08-2006 01:56 AM

about three-fiddy

bdld 01-08-2006 02:02 AM

you never pat yourself on the back, you just look to the future and keep going.

If you are like me, that feeling didn't last too long. After you have all the homes and cars you could want, $5k a day isn't exactly something that makes you want to get out of bed each morning.

That's really what pushed me to make $10k a day. Are you still at $5k?

KMR Stitch 01-08-2006 02:43 AM

For me it's anything over 300 a day.. I had days hit 1100.00 and I had past 2 day not make over 50.00 so..

minimouse 01-08-2006 02:45 AM

at least $2k per day...

Antonio 01-08-2006 03:13 AM

at least $60 000 a day

well, since 99% of the replies are total crap I thought I'd join in

ok, make that $ 90 752.25

Gasper 01-08-2006 03:30 AM

500$ / day sounds very good to me. :2 cents:

High Quality 01-08-2006 03:31 AM

6 figures / year. If you're Under 30 and making $100k/year profit You are in what, the top 10% of americans? I'd consider that "successful". :2 cents:

shit, nowadays if you are under 50 and making $100k a year you are in the top percentages of people...jobs suck for real people right now

and with people getting their pensions cut left and right by corporate america, life ain't gunna get much better in the next few years

sonofsam 01-08-2006 03:41 AM

some people in this thread are HIGH

beemk 01-08-2006 04:34 AM

its not how much you make, its how much you keep.

Tuga 01-08-2006 04:39 AM

150$ day was my goal, and I made it. Now I want at least $200.

Adult-biz 01-08-2006 05:27 AM

Success is related entirely to your lifestyle. So many factors depend on it such as location, outgoings, personal circumstances etc.

Stating the obvious but what`s good for one guy isn`t good for the next.

Sarah_Jayne 01-08-2006 05:36 AM

I was happy when I was making enough not to have to work out of the house. Most amounts from there has been a bonus.

Tat2Jr 01-08-2006 07:02 AM

$1k+/day is when you start feeling good, and that your work has started to pay off.

The Demon 01-08-2006 07:07 AM

300 a day allows me to have a high standard of living while pay out of state tuition..

As long as I make more than I would in a regular job I feel successful

Forkbeard 01-08-2006 08:07 AM

How much did you take home from the last "real" job you had that you enjoyed as much as this biz?

If you can top that, you're a success.

More important, to me, is the question of whether my revenue curve keeps trending up -- something that usually doesn't happen for wage slaves. Creating and following an ascending curve is how people get wealthy. When you're getting paid a fixed amount per hour (doesn't matter how much, really) you never get ahead in life.

Pornopat 01-08-2006 08:48 AM

I started feeling succesfull the moment I felt secure to drop my dayjob.

mrbling 01-08-2006 10:47 AM

SUCCESSFUL is only defined with the money you have collecting interests and dividends.
Everything else is LIVING INCOME.

when you have at least $1 MILLION++ cash in the bank hahahahaAFTER TAXES hahahaha= with money still rolling in, it means you have reached success.

$1 MILLION++ in cash provides you with over $50k mininum of interest.

$3 MILLION++ provides you with over $150k mininum interest.

$1+ Million liquid in the bank = You do not have to work anymore = SUCCESSFUL.

Anything else is =
You are still busting ass , no matter if you make $30k ,or $10k or $500 a day

You are still on the worker bee trying to make it so you don't have to worry about your financial freedom.

Its the end results that count, not the journey up and doesn't matter if you make $1 million in 4 months like milliondollarhomepage.com ,
Its still the END RESULTS.

mrbling 01-08-2006 10:50 AM

The only time when I felt like I was on the top of the world

was when I was having $80,000 Wires into my bank account
Every single week for 4 weeks

$320,000 in 1 month.

Thats truely mindblowing money.

Thats how wealth is created.

mrbling 01-08-2006 10:53 AM

$30k a month is nothing, SAVINGS is the most important.

Considering many things:

1) You have taxes to pay
Chop off 30%

2) You have living expenses to pay
Chop off another 20-30%

So if you are Making $30k a month Which is $1k a day.

30% taxes ,
=$21k
Living expenses = 20%
= $17k

$17k if you are living frugally.

$17k * 12 months = $204k Saved a year living frugally.

$204k -> $1 mllion dollars takes
5 years.

5 years till the BASIC MINIMAL of success ($1 million dollars saving providing $50k interest)

$30k/month isn't much now if you think about it.

That's BS there are so caleed millionaires they are basically broke. there are so call "middle class" people that are debt free and live very nicely. Success is like beauty. It's in the eye of the beholder. If you can do this for a lving and live the way you want without having to work another job I'd say you are successful.

Wiggles 01-08-2006 10:57 AM

$100 a day is enough to make me happy.

You're a tard. Median per capita income in the US is less than $40K a YEAR and that's BEFORE TAXES.

If $17K living expenses a month is "frugal" you're a tard. Anyone not capable of living off of 1/4 that amount a month is a tard.

mrbling 01-08-2006 10:58 AM

Gatorb,
"That's BS there are so caleed millionaires they are basically broke. there are so call "middle class" people that are debt free and live very nicely. "

What you have just quoted above obviously is not following my definition of success where I precisely stated it is the money in your BANK LIQUID/ SAVED/ COLLECTING INTEREST.

I don't see how you can call someone broke when he has $1 Million+ liquid in the bank

He may be stupid and spend it unwisely and GO BROKE (has nothing to do with success just his stupidity),

but he is nowhere near the definition : BROKE.

GatorB,

Do not get mad at me because you are on the low end of the earning scale.

btw, your comprehension of math skills is minimal, I said 20% of 21k = living expenses , thats around $3-4k .

well said. I make more from this that my last "day job" but success to me isnt measured by monetary gains. As long as I can afford to keep my family happy and ensure my income is on the upswing its all good. To me it's all about what I want in the future. I dont plan on doing adult until im 55.
:thumbsup
