Go jump in an ice cold lake.

Kevin2 01-07-2006 02:22 AM

They do that for some strange reason and don't give any explanation of why.

ry0t 01-07-2006 02:23 AM

how long has it been since you've logged in? they get deactivated after a certain number of months with no login.

adultchica 01-07-2006 02:23 AM

That's some bullshit. If that happened to my old trusty yahoo account I'd have a fit. I've had the same yahoo addy for 5 years now

Violetta 01-07-2006 03:39 AM

I have yahoo too, but it hasn't happend to me! Write them an email!

One gets what they pay for ... registering a domain name and using that for email would allow you to setup and maintain an email address(es) that never changes regardless of hosting, etc.

I went as far as to call them and after about an hour and a half of explaining wtf the problem was and being transfered to some new moron each time....Finally i got an answer of "We cant tell you why, we dont know. Sorry sir, we can not reactivate your ID once its been deactivated"

what is they phone number?

Gunni 01-08-2006 02:33 AM

I think they have a paid service for somethin like 5-10$ a year, probably would be a good idea to pay that if you have an old account that you really don't want to lose. I bet they treat paying customers a tad better than the others :)

You may have gotten a trojan that used your account for spamming causing it to be disactivated. Most if not all AV would not detect something like that.

Ive had my yahoo avvount for 8 years and this happened to me a few times. Dunno why but it usually comes back in a few days with no explanation. Pain in the ass since alot of my contacts are on my yahoo list.
