Should there be some kind of lawsuit against Girls Gone Wild?
 

People should not fuck with the internet or do anything thats hurts our business in the long run or else they should pay the price. Im not involving any names but there are some major players in the online DVD business that are very upset at GIRLS GONE WILD and have been for some time now. There is talk of a lawsuit being filed not from us but other companies. Why? There are millions of customers that got screwed over by the girls gone wild subscription scam and who knows how many friends they influenced to be scared of online purchasing or DVD purchasing period.

In a customer survey given out to current customers and surfers the number one reason most customers almost did not buy from us or didn't even buy from us at all is because they were scared of getting re-billed for other DVDs they did not want. When these people were e-mailed back over 85% of them said their fears have something to do with a Girls Gone WIld experience.

So GGW made millions of dollars by running a very sneaky re-bill program at the expense of EVERYONE else. There are probably a million plus people that will never shop at circuit City, Best Buy, Amazon, my site, your site etc...

These were obviously all people willing to spend a little money. So assuming they would all spend $300 average each year on the net that could be over $300,000,000 dollars that business' like yours and mine are loosing out on because of them, right? If you don't believe me ask your customers!!!

GGW did the same thing mainstream has been doing for years. The only reason you hear anything about it is the titties.

To say that you should sue for that, how many adult companies and sites should be sued for the Upsell charges that they were nailing people for a few years ago.

The person would sign up, and on the form was a check box, that was checked by default, that said they were also signing up for another site for 34 or what ever dollars. The text was small, and hidden. So the member gets his CC bill, and it has a sign up for two sites, and somethimes more.

Should they be sued as well?

Whatever you make triple it and thats what we would probably be making if at least that one fear was removed from customers. They already have enough to worry about, geting scammed one the internet by getting products you do not order should not be a fear, EVER!

No not at all, I know exactly what you are talking about, even though that is sneaky its not as sneaky as what GGW was doing. The problem is people expect this from porn but there horny mind usually over powers it, people see GGW as mainstream kind of so they relate it not only to mainstream but now expect it even more from porn sites.

No it was totally different but your right if you dont know the whole story or someone that was ripped off you would not understand.

Another point is CCbill and other sites were pretty good about refunding money and making it pretty easy to cancel. GGW would get the customer from any angle they could. I new people that were trying to cancel for over four months and got billed $30-$60 every month, thats just wrong. porn is never that hard to cancel.

I think you guys misunderstood me. Yes we all do rebilling and its great for us but thats not what Im even talking about. Im talking about the style in which they handle the re-billing, If a porn company operated like they did they would probably be shut down by the FBI.
