Domain gurus, should I accept this offer on my domain?

I just got offered 600 Euro (about $729) for Hentai.co.uk. After Sedo fees, I'm left with 500 Euro (about $607). Should I take it?

A few years ago, I declined a 1200 Euro offer on it, but I was making a lot more then, didn't need the money and was planning on using it. I never did. I don't have any info on traffic. I had it parked at AfterNic, but evidently they aren't tracking it anymore. What do you think?

I'd say don't sell it for 500. I'm not a domain expert but domain value of decent domains is increasing a lot these days.

Yeah, I haven't marketed it at all. Only have it up on Sedo. I really don't know how to market domains. lol

And I wouldn't just have a blank page atleast but up a couple of links to Hentai sites so you can make a buck or two off it.

Probably, but I've had it for 6 years and this was the best offer I've gotten. I've sent the name to some domain gurus on this board, and they only seemed marginally impressed. I'm doing the same thing with a car I'm selling. I have a 516 HP '97 supercharged Saleen Mustang convertable, which I have about $60K into. Completely rebuilt motor with forged racing components. The kbb price is around $26K for a non-supercharged, non-built-up, 215HP stock version, but you need to find a specialized buyer for it, and I'm tired of waiting. I'll probably end up letting it go for well under $20K... Oh well. It's just costing me insurance money now...I rarely drive it.

You weight pros/cons and come up with the best solution you can. So be it.

I would say it is a mix of people who have contacted us in the past, type-in domains, people looking for good brandable names and some referrals. We have some domains listed with sites like sedo & afternic but many of our high end sales come from names that are not live. So the people/companies inquiring go through whois which takes some basic effort and knowledge to reach us.

To be fair and to put it in perspective we do have a network of thousands of sites/domains so we are able to create a lot of leads with creative pages and linking.

I hope your sale was good for you. We have all been in situations where we needed to raise cash, believe me.... Good luck to you.

BTW Do you have any pics of the Saleen online?

Maybe, maybe not. I don't really want to know. But rather than risk losing a buyer, I'd rather go ahead and sell it and know I gave someone in our industry a good deal, and he in turn gave me a serious and reasonable offer...he didn't low-ball me...he did me right

There's always a higher potential on any sale, but you have to weigh your options. I kind of doubt I would have gotten a much better offer by waiting 24 hours, so then I'm stuck with holding onto it and hoping... For me, I think I made the right decision.

Out of curiosity, what do you think Innuendos.com is worth? That's another one I've held onto for a long time, but haven't sold...
