TEXANS: Reggie Bush or Vince Young.

This is going the be the topic of discussion for the next few weeks.

I have seen Vince Young play a few times, but after taht performence in the Rose Bowl i am even more amazed.

Reggie Bush still deserved the Heisman, but for the Texans i think Vince Young would be a better draft pick than Reggie bush.

Thoughts?

Carr isn't that bad of a QB, Young just adds that scrambling ability. I still don't like how he throws sidearm though. Tuff call

By the way they were talking about it last night, Id say Vince Young.

Even though Reggie Bush is a BEAST.

Reggie Bush....he can play right away

Vince Young will be a high pick in the draft if he enters, but hands down, reggie should be top pick. His talent is endless.

He has been improving his throwing ability each year. With an NFL trainer who knows what can happen.

Also looking at the last Rose Bowl Stats:
Leinart: 29/40
Young: 30/40

Young had just as good as a passing game as Leinart, just less yards.

I agree, Young has to have some more trainging on how he can play.
But from Texans point of view. Vince Young is the better choice. Home-town player.
First draft pick. The seats will be full to watch him play. Reggie bush will just be traded off.

Reggie Bush carr is fine at qb if they can just protect him

Wont do any good. We still wont have an offensive line worth a shit. I think Reggie Bush might be a better draft pick because we could probably trade him for a couple halfass decent linemen.

Thats the great thing about Vince Young. Let them Blitz, and watch him run through/over them.

And then you have to remember that the Texans are a Franchise. From a business stand of view, Vince Young will bring in more ticket-sales and help the team move up a notch.

axelcat 01-06-2006 12:11 PM

No one is sure if Young is going to enter the draft or not, and with that said I think M. Leinert will be picked before both of them thats just my opinion.

Furious_Male 01-06-2006 12:18 PM

Texans are in good shape as far as the QB is concerned. My bet is they will take Reggie Bush even if Young decides to come to the NFL.

SCtyger 01-06-2006 04:12 PM

Carr is already a good QB... put Peyton Manning behind that sad Texans O-line and you'll get the same results.

but Bush's size could hurt him in the NFL.

sickkittens 01-06-2006 04:13 PM

Young will have to go on a team that will need to be built around him so I think it makes sense to pick Bush.

Number1Thumb 01-06-2006 04:18 PM

watching the differences between college and pro ball is astounding. Short of michael vick, young better learn to be patient in the pocket, keep running like your a fullback and someone like Urlacher is going to take your head off :2 cents:

Which is why the new Texans team is perfect. Vince Young will increase seat sales and they will be able to grow with him.
I would take Vince Young.

That O-line isn't good though. Texans could draft him or Bush and trade for alot of players that could make the offense better.

sickkittens 01-06-2006 04:47 PM

The question is, if the Saints draft Leinart, will he go?

Leinart should have left last year. Would have been filthy fucking rich by now. And a first pick.

Too early to give up on Carr. He hasn't been given a good enough supporting cast yet to know whether or not he can take the team all the way.

Go for the RB or trade down if you get a great deal and pick up some big O-lineman with the picks you get in the trade.

:2 cents:

Vitasoy 01-06-2006 06:43 PM

Has he even said he will turn pro? Anyways I bet they'll either pick bush or trade down.
